Title: Ticket Prices
Post by: Mac on February 23, 2015, 10:03:14 am
WTF is going on with Ticket Prices. Holy crap, some recent concerts announced and the seat prices are just ridiculous

Steely Dan: $335 to $55 to $25 (lawn)
Rush: $570 to $55 (nosebleed)
Def Leppard: $220 to $25 (lawn)
Lewis Black: $70 to $45
Jimmy Buffet: $360 to $100 (lawn)

WTF!!!

Looks like my concert days are becoming limited very quickly.

Supposedly this is the last Rush Tour, so I can see why they would want to maximize tickets sales as much as possible and they have a huge draw that I don't think people will even balk at the price. They may curse them, but they will be cursing them as they hand over the money to the Ticket seller. Def Leppard on the other hand is a joke for even charging that much for Tickets. They have been floundering for quite some time and only recently got a bump when they were on tour with KISS. I love the band, but I wouldn't even pay $50 for good seats, especially since Joe's voice has been shot for the past 15 years.

No Doubt, the Killers to headline inaugural Kaaboo Festival (http://fox5sandiego.com/2015/02/23/no-doubt-the-killers-to-headline-inaugural-kaaboo-festival/)

I just heard about this a few minutes ago. Didn't even know anything was in the works and the fact that it's gonna be here with No Doubt had me pumped.....until I saw what they are charging. Another show I will not be attending due to inflated prices. Sigh.
