The visuals are amazing. Just not sure of the point of the story. Matrix type of thinking?

This got picked up to be a movie, presumably because it looked like a movie yet barely cost anything to make, but I have NO idea what the heck was going on in it... it's like three or four different movies smushed together!  What the heck?
