Draft Day

I wasn't sure if there would be enough of a movie centered around Draft Day of all things and I certainly didn't think it would hold my attention or be compelling enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. This is basically football's version of Moneyball and just like that one, I really liked the end results here. Kevin Costner always seems to be at his best when sports are involved and this is another winner. I will say that the plot and how it's constructed was formulaic and predictable. But it was still fun to watch. Very surprised to see that Ivan Reitman was behind this. I fully expected to see Ron Shelton's name pop up in the credits. Regardless, this is worth a Rent for sure.
Watching Draft Day today was kind of a perfect storm from a few angles. Last week you have Sean "P. Diddy" combs beating up a football coach. Two days ago you have Jennifer Garner announcing she's getting divorce and today Antonio Gates gets suspended for 4 games. Crazy week to say the least.
