The 100 is f*cking awesome! I originally planned on watching this as it aired, but another show I was already watching was top priority and I figured I'd catch this at a later date. It's just taken 2 years to get here and boy, was the wait ever worth it. I had been hearing great things about The 100, while avoiding spoilers, but even I wasn't prepared for just how addictive this series was/is. In a nutshell, The 100 is equal parts Battlestar Galatica (minus the Cylons), The Hunger Games (minus the games), Lost (minus the Smoke Monster), Lord of the Flies (minus the.....well, minus the flies) and Game of Thrones (minus pretty much everything in that series). But the Grounders and the Reapers in the Season Finale is reminiscent of GoT.
Anyway, as I said before, this is an awesome show. It looks great and I really have to give props to CW for doing this story justice as well as casting top notch actors for key roles. Paige Turco (Person of Interest), Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy) and Henry Ian Cusick (Lost) anchor the cast that run the Ark, with some nods to Alessandro Juliani and Kate Vernon for those BSG fans like myself. I'm not gonna say anything about the plot or what happens because I'm sure you guys haven't even watched this. So, I'm giving you guys a chance to check this out without spoilers ruining it for ya. A lot of twists and turns and they aren't shy about killing off people, something I wasn't expecting from the CW at all. I full intend to Buy this to add to my Home DVD Library. FYI, awesome Season Finale. I feel compelled to re-watch it again.
