This is a sad day for wrestling fans like myself. I grew up during the Rock 'N Wrestling Connection (Cyndi Lauper / Wendi Richter Era) and for me, Roddy was the first 'Villain' I ever saw or cared to watch in the wrestling ring. Everyone makes a big deal about Hulk Hogan and I will give him props in that he carried the WWF during the 80's. But the fact of the matter is this, if there was no Piper, there would be no Hogan. Period. Every 'Hero' needs a 'Bad Guy' to play off of to make him look larger than life and there wasn't anyone better than Piper during this time. Absolutely LOVED watching Piper's Pit. RIP Mr. Piper.
