Ringer premieres on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. It's Sarah Michelle Gellar. This automatically makes me have to give this a shot.

The first half of the episode was pretty blah and I think the creators of the show dropped the ball big time by not showing Bridget witnessing the murder and seeing first hand the danger she is in.  It would have gone a long ways to adding to the tension of her making some pretty bold choices, like assuming her sisters identity. Instead, we are left to just assume he is a really bad guy and that her life is in danger.

I went out of my way to avoid any kind of spoilers for the series because I knew it was going to be a mystery. So, regarding Siobhan...

Spoiler (hover to show)

After a ho-hum first half, the last 20 minutes introduced plenty of twist to definitely keeping me around for the foreseeable future, Not sure how they will extend this beyond this season, because if they do that, it becomes almost like The Fugitive in a way. The last half of the episode more than made up for the first half for sure.

I am enjoying the show so far, but mainly because Sarah Michelle Gellar is able to deliver on her character(s) in every scene.  I will keep tuning in to see where this goes.  I also wonder about the longevity of this show.

Ringer keeps throwing me curve balls left and right. For example, the entire episode I'm telling myself that we know no one will find the body that Bridget is hiding in plain sight, but the tension is there that someone could find it and ruin everything, but deep down we all know that no one will and that Bridget will be able to dispose of the body by the end of the episode. So what happens? Somebody finds it. Bah! But who? My guess is that it's Kristoffer, who would do anything to win back Siobhan, including getting rid of the body and keeping her secret for her.

Yup. Curve balls!!! Digging the show more and more with every episode. Also, now it makes sense why Jaime Murray (Olivia Charles) left Warehouse 13 and is reduced to a cameo on that series.

Well, you were wrong.  I do think that Ringer is a great little show, but I don't know how long it will last.  Eventually the real Siobhan will run out of money and need to get her identity back, plus she's the one that is actually pregnant.  There are still stories that haven't been told yet.  For example, what happened to Siobhan's son, Sean?  Who was the father of that kid?  Who is ordering the hit on her?  I think it was the husband, because at one point he made the call that he didn't want to go through with "it" but only after he found out Siobhan was pregnant.  And doesn't Bridget need to get some action going with the hubby to prove that she actually IS pregnant?  Thing will go array pretty soon here if she doesn't.

Things are starting to get interesting now that Siobhan / "Bridget" knows she is preggo which will of course force her to return to the States sooner, rather than later. Score one for Bridget / "Siobhan" for turning the tables on her stalker by using the threat of the FBI to back off. She's a crafty little bugger. Doesn't look all rosy for her though, especially now that her Sponser/Boyfriend is up Hero*n creek with Bodaway Macawi sticking the needle in him, which he will of course use this to leverage more dope for the whereabouts of Bridget.

Also, something tells me that Victor Machado (Nestor Carbonell) FBI partner isn't what he claims to be. He is definitely on Bodaway's payroll. Even though he had a small role here, I can feel that his role will become bigger and more pronounced down the road. Just a gut feeling.

I wasn't expecting Gemma to find out about the affair so soon into the season. And now Machado knows that Bridget / "Siobhan" is lying about having contact with Bridget. Seems everything is unraveling pretty quickly now that Bridget has confessed to Gemma who she really is. Also left in the dark is exactly what Siobhan / "Bridget" end game is. This is turning out to be my favorite new show of the season.

Only way I can think of is that both Sisters kill someone at the end (Season Finale) and have to go on the lam or something like that. Otherwise this really is a one and done type of storyline. But if the ratings are there, the CW will definitely be bringing it back.

Holy sh*t!! What the hell is going on here? What a cliffhanger!! Gemma is seemingly dead? At least that's what they are implying at the end of the episode with the blood stained walls.  This episode was all about damage control for  Bridget / "Siobhan" to tie up loose ends that could lead everyone to know who she really is and at the forefront was Gemma, who did a 180 and pulled Siobhan tactic of her own and tried to blackmail Bridget into...what else...sleeping with her Husband so that she would have leverage in divorce court. Well played....not. You're dead!

Ha. I don't think she really is. But it's a nice twist at the end. Yo Ganthc, don't spoil anything for me till I get a chance to watch this weeks episode which won't be online till next week....or at least put spoiler tags around it. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_wink.gif) This series is too good to have it ruined. I have been avoiding spoilers everywhere, even when they run promo's for the upcoming episode on TV, I have to switch the channel as fast as possible.

Anyway, I have to amend how this season could possibly conclude. Bridget does such a bang up job in fixing Siobhan's crappy life and is able to unify Hubby, Daughter, Best Friend that when push comes to shove, everyone around Bridget will rally around her in spite of knowing who she really is, but they won't care, because by then because they will have all fallen in love with her. And that's why they will all help her, by selling the lie that she really is "Siobhan". Of course there is the question of the real Siobhan coming back and blowing the secret wide open. There's your Season 2 plot. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_biggrin.gif)

Man alive! This show is constantly pulling the rug out from under me. It's next to impossible to figure out what is gonna happen next. So, watching this one, I had Bridget pegged into trying to set up Henry as the fall guy by retriving the bloody rags and planting them in his home and then calling to cops with the tip. So I of course think, "Wow, Bridget is morphing into her evil sister Siobhan. But nooooooo. All she was doing was leaving a finger print on the evidence to giver herself an alibi of sorts.

And then the kicker is at the end when Siobhan herself gets a call saying the "Gemma problem has been taken care of". Ack!!! This is good stuff!!! I still don't think Gemma is really gone though. Because right when I accept that, BOOM, she will come back!!

Sheesh, talk about skating on thin ice. So many worlds about to collide. Some sooner than others. When Tyler sees Shiv/Cora/Bridget at the resturatnt and blurts out about their rendezvous earlier in Paris, I was expecting her to piece together that her sister was alive. And now Bridget/Shiv has Malcom Ward staying with her other "sponsor" who is working for her evil twin sister Shiv. You get all that? No? Sucks to be you then.

Juliet is gonna be baaaaaaad news for Mr. Carpenter (Jason Dohring), the teacher. Where's Veronica Mars to watch his back when he needs it? (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_wink.gif)

Famous last words. Literally. I wasn't expecting them to kill off Gemma. I mean, hell, she got the upper hand on John/Charlie, utters those words and then just hangs around long enough for him to come back and..BLAM! I can't predict what's going on in this show at all. They are creating twist just for the sake of going against what is expected and I like it. You can't say that Ringer is predictable at all, that's for sure.

Not sure how the hell Siobhan can keep hopscotching from Paris to New York, back to Paris, back to New York without leaving a trail of evidence that she is alive and living abroad. The whole Juliet (Zoey Deutch) / Mr. Carpenter (Jason Dohring) angle took a very interesting turn and that fact that the supposed **** took place behind closed doors so we the viewer are kept in the dark adds to the whole "who is lying and who isn't". I'm not gonna even try to figure out where that one is going. But whatever happens, he better have Veronica Mars on his side to prove his innocence.  (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_wink.gif)

Now that I have had time to think about the whole **** story angle and the longevity of the show, I'm more inclined to think that Mr. C did in fact do it, because when the main story wraps up I was thinking of what could sustain the series. What else? Murder. So, I have Bridget killing Mr. C in protecting Juliet (Zoey Deutch) after the fact. Some how this incident will come off premeditated and Bridget will look guilty in the eyes of the law, forcing her to be on the run...again. But this time, her new "family" knows about who she really is and still protects and harbors her from the authorities.

Possible? I dunno. Just throwing it out there. My theories about this show are constantly changing as I adapt to all the twist and turns so far.

I wouldn't say this was a bad episode, but there was a huge disconnect between me and what I was watching and I blame the CW for putting the show on a 2 month hiatus. That is way to long to shelve a series like Ringer that feeds off the momentum it generates each week. I came into this one cold and I just didn't feel that snap, pop and crackle that it usually has. They really dropped the ball on that one and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to hear that the ratings took a huge hit because of it.

Now that was a episode worth my time and a far cry from last weeks. This one had Bridget now starting to piece part of the puzzle together and uncover what Shiv is actually up to. Elsewhere, Shiv finally convinces Henry who she is and who she is not by giving him evidence in the form of....Bridget. So, it looks like Juliet was telling the truth about being raped by her teacher, now that another student is coming forward with the same allegation. My guess is that the teacher knew about the hidden cameras and he was using it as his alibi to discredit any student who would eventually threaten him.

I suspected that Juliet was pulling a scam with the Teacher to get her hands the money. But I thought that the mastermind behind the scam involved her Mother as the ringleader. It's a nice twist regardless. Now, we have all heard the term "no honor among thieves". That will certainly come into play between Juliet, Mr. Carpenter and the White Trash Chick. So, who's gonna get whacked out of the 3?

Well, that didn't take long for the 'Honor Among Thieves' to start showing it's colors. And even though she wasn't the ring leader, Juilet's mother is now involved in trying to clean up her mess, and she has the ultimate motivation to do so since we will stand to gain financially by getting rid of Mr. Carpenter. This story is now about to eclipse the whole Bridget/Shiv arc. Also, we finally get to see what drove Bridget and Shiv apart seven years ago with the death of Shiv's son; Sean, and how this drove Bridget to her lowest point which led to her association with Bodaway.

I was right the first time about Juliet's mother, Catherine being the mastermind behind the swindle, but it's much deeper than that now, something that even I didn't see coming. The fact that she paid someone to beat up Tessa and she's also sleeping with Mr. Carpenter tells me that she has thought long and hard about this plan for some time. So now she's got both Tessa's and Carpenter's share of the money, how long before she goes after her own daughter's loot?

Also, I did not see the ending coming when Andrew confesses that the Ponzi Scheme was his idea and not Olivia's. I was certain she was behind it. Very interesting. They are setting up a lot of things that can definitely carry it over into next season should this get picked up. Knock on wood.

The  s h i t  is really starting to hit the fan now. I don't even know if Andrew does in fact have the killer instinct inside him to actually kill Malcolm or if the writers are just painting him that way to throw me off the track. One thing that I am glad for is that someone (Olivia) finally killed off Tyler. Boring character and crappy actor. Happy he is off the show. Nice to finally what is driving Machado. I wouldn't have expected it to be that he was dating the stripper that was killed who was also carrying his child to be the reason why.

So, who shot JR....I mean Andrew? This is getting whacky. The more it begins to unravel, the harder it becomes in following the narrative. So, the gunman is either Shiv or Henry. But then again, the writers could be throwing someone else into the mix to trip up the viewers. Or did Bridget set this up as a preemptive strike to take out Andrew before he killed her and stage it like a random killing? The writers have a way of making the editing of the show seem like we are getting all the info but in fact are only getting half of it.

I didn't think that Juliet would confess so soon about her involvement with her Mom and that whole Mr. Carpenter fraud. I figured they were going to use this as another arc to lead into Season 2, if there is another season that is. Henry has got to be the dumbest character on TV ever. First he calls out Shiv on her lies that she had been using him and then turns around and forgives her and then on top of that confesses to her that he killed Tyler. Yeah, I don't see that coming back to bite him in the ass later.

That was a hella good episode. All the stories unfolding in this one carried weight and you can see that it's heading for a collision at the end. We got Bridget / Shiv who is still being targeted by an unknown assailant, which is revealed at the end. Nice. We have Henry being thrown under the bus by his father-in-law. Even nicer. We have Juliet and Andrew conspiring to swindle Catherine out of her money. Nicer still. And then we have Machado going ballistic on a perp. Very nice. All in all a fun hour and I hope the remaining episodes for this season can stay this high.

Great episode with a great twist at the end. Well, not a twist per se, but I didn't see Bridget getting drugged by the hands of Catherine who is now living at her house after trying to commit suicide. I have no idea how they are going to continue this on into Season 2 if they intend to wrap up the Main story. There's 2 episodes left and I'm anxiously awaiting the outcome.

Although I enjoyed this episode for what it was. This was ridiculously over the top with regards to Catherine's mental meltdown. But truth be told, it was really bad writing on the part of whoever wrote it. The episode was all filler more than anything else. To take a simple little botched frame job and extend it for an entire hour and in the process make Catherine look even dumber than I already knew her to be. Her character just became something else entirely. She went from a calculating sociopath to a love sick puppy that couldn't do anything on her own or without the blessing of.....Olivia. The writers may have always had it where these two were "partners in crime", but to me this just seemed like it came out of nowhere and was written in the 11th hour that they were working together. Whatever the case, I seriously hope the writers have something better planned for the Season Finale. Based on this one, I'm not confident.

Really not sure what to make of the dead maid / h o o k e r. Why they decided to kill her off when she played a vital role in what happens to Henry. My only guess is that the John that gave her the coke turns out to be a Judge or something that Siobhan will be able to blackmail in keeping Henry out of prison.

I didn't even realize this was the Season Finale at first. I thought there was one more episode left, but as the episode played on, it felt very much like the last one with all the reveals coming at the end. And then when Bodaway gets his head blown off, I knew it was in fact the last episode. But first things first, I thought the entire episode was awesome and the ride to the end was well worth it. I particularly liked how Bridget was forced to come clean about who she was because Andrew found out "she" was having an affair with Henry. It was all out there now. No other choice but to lay it out there and hope for the best and that Andrew and Violet could get past this.

Not.

I really liked how they tied Bodaway, Siobhan and Bridget into the last scene were everything comes to a head and it didn't feel forced or manufactured at all. It was a natural and believable setup and conclusion that they would all end up in the same room together. Now back to Bodaway. I loved his reaction when he discovered that Siobhan wasn't Bridget at all. I knew that when Bodaway got shot and dropped to the ground, that he would pop back up and attack Bridget one last time. What I didn't expect to see was how he got his head blown off. It was a nice way for him to go giving all the  s h i t  that he put Bridget through.

I really want to see this continue and they set up the perfect cliffhanger for this to happen. Having Henry confirm to Bridget that Siobhan is still alive and was actually plotting Bridget's death is a great jumping off point for Season 2. But having checked the ratings, it's not promising at all. The ratings are horrible. Not sure what the cancellation cutoff mark is for CW shows, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on this one coming back. I can only hope that it does. It would be  s h i t t y  if Ringer doesn't come back for another season. I really enjoyed this season. I would give...

I would agree with your summation.  I am still not sure how the plot can be continued.  The whole premise "Ringer" was that Brittany was the ringer for Siobhan, but now that that is over, where can the show go?  I think the show doesn't return.  And I am not that impressed with the shows the CW has lined up (LA Complex, Catalina, Ballet crap).  I think they pull the plug and find a way to recycle the actors for another show.  It really has been the M.O. of the CW to just give actors of cancelled shows the chance to star in new shows.  I hope this isn't the last we see of Sarah Michelle Gellar on TV.

Well, I figured that Season 2 would be all about Bridget hunting down Siobhan for that ultimate face off that we the viewer were deprived of in the Season 1 Finale. It was this anticipated clash that I was anxiously waiting for all season long. Is the premise of hunting her down strong enough to drive an entire season? Probably not. But I would think the other half of the equation would be Siobhan and Bridget both trying to win back Andrew and Violet, which I think could work as far as keep viewers wanting to tune in each week.

Well, on the upside for you Ganthc, I hear that Hart Of Dixie stands a good chance to be picked up.

Yes, I think Hart of Dixie and the Secret Circle will be series that continue on for next season.

Yeah, this one was not a surprise.  I can only imagine that the ratings were terrible.  I started to roll my eyes when the "Wild Things" storyline was used.  I liked Brittany/Siobhan's characters, and even the husbands and FBI guy, but the rest were pretty annoying.

Well, with the deck now clear, it's time for Gellar to revive Buffy. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/banana.gif)
