I have always been a fan of Simon Pegg, so seeing this was a no brainer (pun intended). But I did have reservations about Shaun Of The Dead being a comedy Zombie flick. There's a very fine line that seperates a comedy and a spoof, which I certainly thought it would be. Yes, I did have concerns that this was going to be just like that of Scary Movie, but for Zombies. In the end, I was worried for nothing as this is nowhere near that level of stupidity.

Shaun Of The Dead is a very funny movie and it's all thanks to Simon who plays...Shaun (duh) and his buddy Nick Frost as Ed. This tandem gives the move it's collective belly laughs. And for those with a keen eye, you have a mini reunion of sorts for fans of the originalThe  Office with Lucy Davis and Martin Freeman. With so many comedians in the movie, it takes on a very light and non-threatening flick. So much so that there never really was any tension or fear for the characters getting eaten.

That is until......

I won't ruin it for you here by telling you for those that have yet to see it. But I will say this, that moment where a certain person comes to the realization that another person has indeed been bitten and will have to put them down was heartbreaking. And then suddenly, the movie became very "real" when another character get disembowled by a horde of Zombies. This scene was so shocking because it came out of nowhere in it's gruesomeness and ranks right up there with the best of them in any Zombie movie that has come before or since then.

I won't ruin it here, but the ending was pretty funny and cool to see Simon playing video games with......

This also gets an A+ for the soundtrack as well.

This is definitely a Buy.
