Another odd, quirky film by Zach Braff that deals with religion, mortality, family and sci-fi in a unique way that doesn't distract from it's indie roots. This is what I expect from Zach and I love it. Fantastic cast that also includes Kate Hudson, Joey King, Josh Gad and Mandy Patinkin. For Scrub fans like myself, you will get a kick out of seeing Donald Faison and Bob Clendenin in their cameo roles. Jim Parson's part was a nice touch to what is essentially Sheldon on Big Bang Theory. Kinda. Anyway, I thought the writing and directing was good. There are a few lines in the movie that actually made me jealous in it's clever word usage. They are good enough that I wish I wrote them. Overall, a solid flick. The ending had me tearing up. Definitely worth a Rent.
