I have to give the writer and / or director some credit for at least trying to do something different with the Zombie genre. How many times do we have to be saddled with the same ole sh*t just because they have zombies in the flick. So, for that, the film makers were at least thinking outside the box. With that said, Maggie was incredibly slow and boring. It just plods along with not much of anything happening. But that wasn't the worst thing about the flick. It's depressing as f*ck. The plot is basically Arnold's character having to come to terms with watching his daughter wither away as she turns into a Zombie and on top of that, he has to figure out what to do with her when she finally turns. Does he turn her over to Quarantine or does he kill her himself? DEPRESSING! Really not sure why he was even in this movie. It's not that he's bad in it (he does a great job playing the father), it's just that he really doesn't belong here because in the back of your mind you think he's gonna fight a horde of walkers or the cops that are hellbent on taking her away. It never happens and you feel somewhat cheated. The ending, although expected, sucks. Skip.
