When I first saw the trailer drop for Burnt, I was very curious why Bradley Cooper was doing this given the fact that he already did his Chef character in Kitchen Confidential (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/kitchen-confidential-(the-complete-series-2005)/msg19783/#msg19783). Is he a closet Chef who enjoys cooking in his private life or is he just trying to get the story right that failed on TV? Even though he is playing a different character, there are a lot of similarities between the two. Same setup and same goal. The show relied heavily on comedy while the movie is definitely a drama. Love the series and enjoyed the movie for what it was. Beautifully shot, especially the scenes that highlight food and kitchen scenes. There's not much to the story here other than trying to get his 3rd Star and rectify the damage he did years ago that caused his downfall. Worth a Rent if you like cooking shows, especially that of Hell's Kitchen as Cooper channels his inner Gordon Ramsey.
