Even though I think Pawn Sacrifice is a good flick, I can't give this one a higher rating than 3 Stars because I feel like the movie is missing a lot of information that I was hoping to get. Everyone knows who Bobby Fischer is, even if you have never played a game of Chess in your life, you are familiar with who he is and what he has done. I'm no expert on his life. I only know the basics. So, even though this film is 'Based on a True Story', it still came across as being fictional in a lot of parts because of the outrageous things Bobby was dealing with regarding his paranoia. With the stuff that goes down, I was certain Edward Zwick was taking a lot of liberties with the story. I actually had to do some research after the movie just to verity that what I just watched was in fact the whole story. All true. Solid performances by Tobey Maguire and Liev Schreiber. Worth a Rent for sure.
