Neighbors (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/dvd's-blu-rays/neighbors-(2014)/msg32404/#msg32404) was pretty forgettable. I can't imagine the movie made 'that kind of money' that would get a studio to green-light a sequel. Well, apparently it did. I dunno. Anyway, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is nothing more than a retread of the first film. It's literally a carbon copy, but instead of a Frat House, we are meant to sit through a 90 minute flick following the "adventures" of a Sorority House. Neighbors 2 is actually worst than the first because now we have  Zac Efron's character more or less wandering aimlessly looking for some sort of validation...a purpose in his life. It's meant to be funny, but it actually comes off sad and pathetic, which I doubt was the intent here. The other thing that is really baffling here is that the studio didn't even attempt to go for a Hard R here. Sorority = Naked Chicks. Well, that's what we would have gotten in the 80's or 90's. There isn't even a hint of anything salacious here. It's pretty tame by today's standards. You get more from music videos on YouTube these days.

I'm at a loss for words when I hear that the sequel was and is "better and funnier" than the original. Seriously, what the f*ck?! Am I missing a humor gene all of the sudden? Are there jokes that I'm just not getting anymore and are going over my head? For anyone to claim this is a successful sequel and the blueprint of how to do a proper sequel, is either mentally deficient or functioning at a 3rd Grade level. As before, I will say there are a couple of funny bits, which is what I also pointed out in my review of the original. But this is NOT a good movie and NOT a funny one at that. Definitely a Skip and one I NEVER intend to watch again. One last thing, can someone please explain the longevity of Chloë Grace Moretz's career? She was and is horrible in this movie. Honestly, I don't get how she is in high demand when pretty much everything I've seen her in is bad. The ONLY thing I ever thought she was good at was of course as Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass. Beyond that, I'm scratching my head how she says employed.

I guess it depends on who is saying the good stuff about the sequel. Studios,  Marketing will squeeze out anything good towards their product if they can. And plenty of folks will say sh*t just to see their name out there.

I do remember some about the first flick. Sequel... not a clue. Don't even remember if I picked it up.
