Wow, what a massive disappointment Suicide Squad turned out to be. Before the movie dropped, I had high hopes THIS would be the movie to save DCU and steer it down the right path moving forward. Not only did they refuse to right the ship, they actually drove the DCU further ashore. I'm really at a loss as to how anyone would think that this story or plot would be something anyone would want to sit through 2 hours of. I don't have any problems with the characters (for the most part), but the story itself was just awful and beyond boring. It's just really baffling that this came from the mind of David Ayer who has given us some amazing stuff in the past. I'm guessing that he isn't entirely to blame here and that Zack Snyder had more input into the final product than is being reported. Will Smith and Margot Robbie were good. But lets get to Jared Leto as the Joker. Very surprised at how little screen-time he has here and for what we get....not impressed at all. I was expecting a lot more. Anyway, as for the movie....definitely a Skip. I'll never watch it again.
