Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.....You Got Lucky.....5/29/17.....Red Rocks

Ever since Tom's passing, I have been watching a ton of his live stuff. One of my all time favorite TP songs is of course You Got Lucky. I just had no idea that the band had stopped playing it live for a long time. So glad that he resurrected the song before the end. I've watched a few different shows for this song in particular and most of them sound amazing. But for my money, THIS is the best sounding clip there is. Really love the Drum sound by Steve Ferrone. As always, Mike Campbell owns this song and Tom's voice sounds great. God, I miss him and the band.

Just like I did with You Got Lucky, I've watched a few different shows for what is easily my all time favorite TP song. And this version to my ears is the best sounding one of them all. Video looks great too. Plush seats no doubt.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Refugee (Dallas 04.22.17) HD

Second greatest Tom Petty Song is Refugee and yes, out of all the versions I've watched on this 2017 Tour, this is by far the best of the bunch. F*ck man, Tom's voice still sounds amazing. Check it out for yourself. One thing that blew me away is that if not for this video in particular, I would have NEVER known that Tom doesn't enunciate the word 'Live' during the chorus of the song. Crazy. I've seen other singers over the years doing this as a way to save their vocal cords. These shortcuts are a good thing to do, especially when you've been doing it as long as Tom has. It's why he still sounds great. I can listen to this over and over. The entire band kicks ass here.
