I had no idea we were getting a new Tomb Raider game this year. I actually thought that 2-3 years from now would be generous in that regard. So yeah, THIS is fantastic news for me.

I actually bought this game a month before Red Dead Redemption 2. But given the fact I would only have 1 month to play SOTTR before RDR2, I put it aside because when RDR2 dropped, regardless of where I was in Tomb Raider, that would be put off to the side. So, with RDR2 starting to wind down....well, since the story is complete, I don't want to burn through whatever is left regarding side missions. So, that brings me to Tomb Raider. Started it up last night and I will alternate between this and RDR2 for the time being. Actually I will probably play TR for the next couple of days before returning to RDR2.

Ramble much? Stream of conscious writing!

So, here's a current update on my playthrough in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I'm enjoying it. It's fun and quite challenging. With that said, the game feels a bit of a letdown. It's not because it sucks or has issues. It just has the unfortunate problem of following RDR2, the best game ever. I'm still jumping between both games and it feels great to be playing RDR2. But I am enjoying what I'm getting out of SOTTR though.

Finished the Main Campaign Story. It was okay. The game looks amazing. But story-wise, not my favorite. I think out of the Trilogy, I'd put it behind Rise of the Tomb Raider and the rebooted Tomb Raider. I still have a bunch of side missions (Extra Tombs) to knock out and I have a few DLC's to also tackle.
