I've always wanted to do a thread like this going back 10 plus years and for whatever reason, I just never did...until now. Why have I wanted to do a thread like this? Well, for some odd and strange reason, I have had the uncanny ability to run into celebs everywhere more times than I can count. More so than I would random friends or co-workers, past and present. So, post your celebrity sightings here. They can be Movie Stars, TV Stars, Singers, Athletes or just people that are infamous. If you want, you can also post those that you have run into in the past.

So, tonight, shopping at VONS, standing directly in front of me in the check-out line was Frank John Hughes. He is a character actor that has been in pretty much everything. You may not know the name, but you certainly know the face from such series as Band Of Brothers, The Event, The Sopranos, 24 as well as movies like Catch Me If You Can and Bad Boys. The first thing I ever saw him in was Cover Me: Based on the True Life of an FBI Family, which ironically enough was shot entirely here in San Diego.

I Saw2 Sylvester Stallone almost get run over in downtown Savannah a couple years ago.
I met Bruce "Da MAN!" Campbell at a book signing for his first book a few years ago.
I used live in Bangor Main and spent most of my life there. I met Stephen King several times and talk to him quite a few times. He shopped at the grocery store I worked at and got to do a couple carry outs for him. Super nice guy.

Great thread and brings back a clear memory.
In college I was doing an experimental video art class and we used ¾” video tape. That required going downtown to company that sold that tape. Walking into the building is the receptionist. I had an appointment with a salesman. While standing there waiting, I did not even notice someone walking up next to me. I did hear the receptionist announce over the loudspeaker “Bill… Mr. Berry here to see you”.
It didn’t quite click but I did glance over to see it was Chuck Berry. He was tall. Honestly I’ve never been ‘into’ his music, so the awesomeness was not there, but still a memorable moment.

Oh man, I would have been fumbling for words trying to speak to him. Johnny B. Goode was one of the very first songs I learned on guitar. But yeah, great story on your part.

Another music celebrity moment happened early in my life also.
I was a HUGE REO Speedwagon fan (Not so much anymore). It was the R.E.O tour...

and they came into Peaches Records for an in store record signing. For you youngsters, that was a time of vinyl records, with big 12” cardboard covers.
I was dating, if I may say, a pretty hot blond at the time and she came along for the ride. Well, Gary Richrath was actually hitting on my girlfriend while standing in line waiting for signatures. She totally blew him off.
So anyway, I got to meet all the members of REO at that time.
I recently sold that record with the signatures and did pretty well.

I ran into Greg Maddux a few minutes ago down at Ralph's. I've been a fan of his for yeeeeears, even when he was playing for the Atlanta Braves, a team that I hated. So naturally I was ecstatic when he became a Padre. I wish he was still playing today, if not for us, just for the sport of Baseball. One of the greatest pitchers I've ever seen. He absolutely is a Hall of Famer, which he will be headlining in 2014. Very funny commercial with Greg.

I'm pretty sure I just saw Danyelle Wolf at my local Vons. I know that she lives and trains in my town, but I can't stay with 100% certainty that it was her because she was a few spots ahead of me in line at the cashier. But knowing that she lives here, the odds are in favor of it actually being her. I've actually wanted to meet her form quite some time and wanted to talk to her about her competing in the upcoming Summer Olympic Games. I feel I will run into her again sometime in the future.

My mom got a copy of Nashville Magazine that listed the 25 most beautiful people in town (which is a lie, I'M not in there), but the magazine is full of local restauranteurs, singers, artists, etc... local celebrities, but proper celebs at the same time, you know? And my mom was just going through it going "I know him, I know her, she was at the baby shower, etc" Geez.
Meanwhile, I don't remember the last famous person I saw... though I haven't really BEEN anywhere where I would interact with anyone famous in what seems like forever.

Went back to "Still The King" today (you'll see me pop up in an episode in the new season!). Got to meet Billy Ray this time, totally nice guy, but the dude I was acting with was just SO familiar and I couldn't place him for the life of me. He was Dr Edison on Bones, oh which I've seen just about every episode. i'm a f*cking idiot.

Here's the lamest one yet, I was driving home and I found myself right behind the American Pickers van. Which shouldn't be THAT odd since they have a store in Nashville, I just hadn't seen them driving around before. And I couldn't see in to see if it was the guys or not. I just thought that was mildly interesting.

I have literally not seen Charisma in anything noteworthy since her small role in Veronica Mars and that was years ago. I crushed hard for her when she was on Buffy. Props for staying in "character" for your shot with Brian. What Con are you at?

I didn't even finish the first season of Angel but I just dug her so much, I just like that they took a character who should be totally unlikeable on paper: vapid, a bit dim, self-centered, spoiled... and MADE you like her.

Easily the best deal b/c everyone else takes one selfie and calls it a day (even Charisma, who said "I'm a PRO at selfies"), he keeps that shutter going until he breaks you, sir.
That was also a neat little cool thing, I've always heard Jay call people sir, him calling ME "sir" ("How are you today, sir?") was just... I liked that.

I swung by Target after work because I needed razors. Just a quick little late-at-night run. Apparently five minutes after I left, guess who walked in and began saying hi to everyone.
That's right, Taylor Swift. Missed it by that much.
