Yeah, baby! Loudness! I actually went to this tour way back in 1986. Sheesh!!!!!! Where the hell did the damn time go?
-
Hey Rich, if you're reading this, Stillwell and Donaldson were at the same show. Hahahahaha. Partridge as well.
-
nice mix of Queensryche and UFO.
only halfway through with the show...curious of the dates of when Operation Mindcrime came out and this live show....would be interesting if this was before some of the Iconic Queensryche comparisons I had were just this band doing their thing.

Wow. That show went by way to fast. Grrrr! You know, anyone that checks out the concert here will probably scratch their heads and say "Really, them?" Yes them! I get that the broken english of Minoru Niihara is a bit jarring. But I'm so use to it that it's not even an issue for me. I actually think it adds to their charm. These guys were huge for a really short time back when Thunder In The East came out. They had their one big radio hit with Crazy Nights. But they actually have a lot of great songs throughout their entire career.
If I had to compare Loudness to any other band that came and went in a blink of an eye, I'd definitely go with Autograph for sure. Monster hit. Hot for awhile. And then.....poof! Gone. But unlike Autograph, these guys have been together ever since they broke. So I applaud their tenacity to keep plowing through it all.
As for this show, it was fun to revisit them here. Going to any Loudness concert is for the sole purpose of seeing Akira Takasaki. He was awesome when I saw him Live and he is awesome here.

I'm pretty sure Queensryche came out the year before. I saw a lot of concerts during this time. I know after seeing Queensryche with KISS, we ended up going to see Loudness , maybe 6 months later. But that was The Warning album that they sere touring behind. Operation Mindcrime was maybe a year and half or so later.

was thinking of the song Take Hold of the Flame which is off the first record. (Queensryhce)
I hear a little Motley Crue too....livewire on that one track.
great concert...I'd give it a 5 out of 5.

Oh, I definitely hear the influnce of both Queenryche and Crue for sure. I gave it 4 out of 5, only because the editor when a little overboard with the editing and transitions FX. But for the show itself, definitely one of the better ones for sure.

oh yeah Scorpions too.
ok I gotta work no more posting for me until tonight when I work on that crazy tree foliage page.
:)
will e mail you around 7 PM for a page switch.

Had to come back here and revisit these guys again. Too good to just be satisfied with just watching it once.

I have a Ronnie James Dio Live Thread here (http://pennycan.createaforum.com/the-concert-venue/ronnie-james-dio-live/msg3600/#msg3600) if your interested.
As for the other Loudness concert you just posted, I've never seen it up anywhere. I've searched countless times to find more full concerts and have never had success. You've found 2 already. Props to you, Sir!!
-
that's right....I'll raise you one Dio concert in a wrong thread for 2 new loudness concerts in the right thread...the one from 1984 Europe I think will be hot.
-
there's some other 30-40 minute clips you'll see in the gutters...I am trying to finish this page and don't have time to add them all right now
-
I'll post 'em as I find 'em. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/headbang.gif)
-
cool I am sure they are parts of full concerts...but I for sure saw one that was about 32 minutes...and a few that were about 20 minutes.
this DIO guitarist is great.
he's like this weird mix of Randy and Vivian
:)

Watching the EBS Space show. It's odd seeing Akira sitting.
-
Ha. I've never seen a band stop a show to get crowd participation going.
MZA!

The show was just OK for me. I always have a negative reaction to anyone, be it KISS, Van Halen or whoever, when they insert soundbites and / or interviews during the show. It's distracting and takes me completely out of the show. Big time. The other thing that marred this performance was the need to keep bringing people out on stage. It ate up too much time, which made an already short show even shorter.
