The Misfits...again.

If you are looking for something different, fun and just cool. You can't go wrong with Misfits. I was uncertain in what to expect. My first impression was that it was going to just be about kids serving time doing community service. And then it turns into a Superhero show. Well, not "Superhero" in the same sense of what we are force fed here in America. One sets up everything as you would expect. Freak of nature event turns 5 Kids into something else all together. Definitely give this series a shot. I like it.

I never saw the twist coming regarding Ruth (Amy Beth Hayes), the hot chick, turning out to be an old lady. The ending was sad. Overall the episode was a little bit slower, but good none the less.

This is slowly going down....and nowhere. I dunno. This had nothing to it other than having dig up and then bury the body again. Come on. Sigh.

My Latest Review (Dec. 30, 2011)

Having just watched this episode again, I was a bit harsh in saying it was going downhill. They needed to set stuff up for what comes later in the season and I was just a bit impatient waiting for "something" to happen. Also, I know the characters really well and the interaction between them makes more sense and because I know what the endgame of Simon is, I can't look at him as "creepy" as I did before. This episode was more or less about Alisha (Antonia Thomas) and how she is struggling to make sense of her new "powers" that really isn't that at all, but an actual curse for her. Touching people that turns them into raving maniacs trying to **** her isn't what I would call a "power". I'm giving this episode...

It still hasn't moved forward, but we end up learning a lot about the characters by going backwards. This is the "origin" episode where Curtis, needing to change events, goes back in time where all the major and minor characters paths crossed one another. Suddenly the events that unfold change the course sideways. Can't change the past without it affecting the future. Very interesting. Think along the lines of Magnolia meets Groundhog Day. Definitely back on track without really not moving forward at all. Getting interesting to say the least.

Watching Curtis doing his groundhog day moment, trying to break up with his other girlfriend Sam was pretty funny. Nathan is always good for comedic relief. Simon is by far the most bizarre character on the show and by far the most interesting because you just never quite know what is going on in his mind. Creepy.  I'm still waiting for what purpose Alisha and Kelly bring to the show other than eye candy.

Funny moment with the 9 month old baby "calling" Nathan a prick. Haha.

I was shocked at the end when they killed off Nathan. I didn't see that coming at all. And then when Kelly was watching the DVD of Nathan, it dawned on me that his power that he was searching for the entire series was that he couldn't die. Sure enough, he is immortal. Nice twist that he is now burried alive. I sure hope that Hulu will host Season 2.

Season 3 is now up on Hulu, but I'm gonna start from the beginning. It's that good.

Watching Episode One again was even better than the first time around because I'm familiar with all the characters and their idiosyncrasy's. Just a great series and an awesome way to start it off with.
