I'm a fan of Twisted Sister and Dee Snider, but I was disappointed with this show. I expected more out of this one. There was way too much talking in between songs and it went far too long to my liking in most cases. I've never seen a show come to halt to tell the fans their website address before. Just really bizarre to pimp yourself like that, especially to fans at your show. I'm pretty sure that if your a fan of any band, they are already going to have information like this. But I will tip my hat to Jay Jay French for his rant about American Idol. He's just saying what everyone already thinks anyway.

As for the rest of the show, there are some great songs, the best being The Price. Mark Mendoza is really underrated as a Bass Player. Just listening to him work the groove on The Price proves that he can take a typical bass line and add so much more to it, both Live and on record. Getting back to the too much talking thing, even Dee ruined I Wanna Rock with his excessive bantering during the song.

I’ve never been a fan of the Sister. I think in the beginning years, I made first judgments on them based on their outrageous stage presence. Not that it was new or weird, but that it was cheap looking. Thus I probably dismissed their music and never looked back.

Twisted Sister - The Price

There look is definitely the poor man's KISS. But it's a shame you dismissed them. It happens. It is what it is. I've done it myself (Duran Duran anyone?) But do yourself a favor and just listen to The Price and not come away impressed is crafting an awesome song. FYI, not costumes or make-up in this video to further encourage you to check it out. Had I never given Duran Duran a chance, I would have missed out on some killer songs by them.

I'll admit, after listing to the official video, if I didn't know it was Twisted Sister, I'd say these guys are pretty good.
