Morena Baccarin, Morgan Saylor & Jackson Pace

I've been putting off watching Homeland till I got caught up on most of the other shows I'm currently watching and I'm glad I did. This was a real treat. The acting, characters and story is all top notch given that this is coming from the minds of Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa who have a pretty impressive track record with shows like 24, Angel and The X-Files just to name a few.

The Pilot sets up everything you will need to know to follow the characters and the story, which focuses on returning POW Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) who was held in captivity in Iraq after 8 years. Upon his return to the States, Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes) suspects that he has turned and is now working for Al-Qaeda as a Sleeper Agent and are planning an attack on American soil. Adding to the mix is the question of Carrie's sanity given that she has severe psychological  problems that require heavy doses of medication. This was a fantastic opener to the series.

If that isn't enough to entice you to watch the show, then maybe Morena Baccarin getting naked and having sex will. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_drool.gif)

Another fantastic episode that slowly builds in drama. This is the antithesis of 24, where that was pretty much high octane firefights from start to finish. But so far, Homeland is all about the subtly of surveillance, waiting for their moment to collect their evidence and whatnot. There's action to be found here. I was expecting Nicholas Brody to attack the photographer that was hiding in the bushes. When he set foot onto his property and started asking questions like he owned the place, stating it was in fact public property, I knew he was about to get f ucked up.

The big surprise for me was when...
