Title: Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal
Post by: Mac on December 24, 2011, 02:40:02 pm
Must Watch: 70-Minute Take Down Of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Must-Watch-70-Minute-Take-Down-Indiana-Jones-Kingdom-Crystal-Skull-28521.html)

This is pretty good. I don't know if I'll sit through the whole 70 minutes though.

It's been almost a year since we last posted a review from Red Letter Media's Mr. Plinkett. If you're not aware who that is by name, you may remember him as the guy who did the epic 70-minute review of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (and its subsequent sequels) as well as Avatar, Star Trek and Baby's Day Out. The last movie he reviewed was Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and that was all the way back on New Year's Eve 2010. It's been a rough drought, but finally he is back and with a perfect target: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Check out both parts of the video below or over on Red Letter Media's site.

I'm definitely going to check this out and most likely the other reviews as well, especially the Star Wars installments over the next week. This kind of stuff keeps things fresh when I'm at work.

Thanks for posting. Great find, Mac!!

Haha. That was great. I know that even Steven Spielberg would probably think the same thing.

It was good but wears on after awhile. I couldn't watch another 30 minutes.

Yeah, I do think it would benefit from condensing the reviews some. But when there is so many flaws in one movie, it's gonna take time to sort it all out. I didn't watch it all in one sitting. I took a break after Part 1 before moving onto Part 2. As bad as he made Indy 4 sound, and there are some major flaws to be found, I wouldn't say it was a complete waste of time because seeing Harrison Ford up on screen as Indy still brings out the fan boy in me. Having said that, it is my least favorite of the series. "Favorite" is kind of misleading so I will go with "worst" of the bunch. Wait, now that's implying I think Indy 1-3 are bad. I'm starting to turn into the reviewer........

I down right hate Indy 4. I can only imagine what must have been going through Spielberg's head having to deal with Lucas for this film.

For all the reasons the reviewer stated. I was pretty shocked at the work and detail that went into that review.

That's what I was thinking while watching his review. He spent more time going over and over to get every single detail right to make his review sound and legit, something Lucas is allergic to. And while I'm on the subject of Lucas....

Phuck that asswipe.

I feel better.

Thanks.

CRYSTAL SKULL Was Indiana Jones’ Last Hurrah, Frank Marshall Says

Every couple of months George Lucas makes some menacing sounds about a fifth Indiana Jones film and everybody cringes (except for those abuse-happy weirdos who get excited and have 'hope'). But according to Frank Marshall, producer on the Indiana Jones movies, all that talk is just that - talk.

Speaking to Collider, Marshall says:
Quote
“I say, for me, [Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is] the last hurrah.  I know that yes, we talk about it, but there’s no idea, there’s no MacGuffin.”

Okay, that for him. How about for George, who has recently scaled back his involvement at Lucasfilm?

Quote
“Yeah, no he isn’t [hungry to do another Indiana Jones]."

Praise Jesus. There are, without a doubt, many worse things in the world. There are more pressing matters to concern us. But knowing that a fifth Indiana Jones movie is not one of those pressing matters - will probably never be one of those pressing matters - is a relief. Especially because I was worried the next film would explain how Indy lost his eye in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Now to figure out how to be hypnotized into believing the series ended with Last Crusade.

Harrison Ford: I Shaved My Head!

I still don't believe a word anyone says about there NOT being a 5th installment. Harrison Ford shaved his head as show of solidarity in getting the next Indy movie up and running. Harrison Ford ftw!! (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_biggrin.gif)
