Title: War Medals

I spent all day yesterday and most of the day today cleaning out the garage, packing and unpacking boxes for the sole purpose of finding my Grandpa's WWII Medals. I found them! It was feared to be lost for the past 12 years as we couldn't figure out where they were and most likely got lost or thrown away by mistake when moving 12 years ago. Not a bad way to spend Christmas Eve if I do say so myself.

I handed them over to my Mom and she was elated as she had been asking me for years where they were. I told her this would be a cool project for a framed glass case to present them and the first thing she said was that was her intention. Awesome.

So, today it was more cleaning in the garage and low and behold I found my Grandpa's Records Book that has tons of clippings from his Navy days as well as his Baseball and Football career. Another treasure trove from the past. Awesome. This has been the most rewarding 3 days ever for cleaning out stuff.

This was completed last month (4 weeks ago). I've been meaning to post a quick shot of the Shadowbox here. We still have not decided where to hang it yet. Once we do, we will have a track spotlight to highlight the box and I will be able to take much better pictures. Will be posting more. Stay tuned...........
