Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace (Red Letter Media Review) (http://redlettermedia.com/plinkett/star-wars/star-wars-episode-1-the-phantom-menace/)

Just got done watching this review and although it was very entertaining, I still hated the idea of having to sit through any more scenes from this POS "film". Even before watching this, I've had such a burning hatred for George Lucas. The guy is the most overrated filmmaker in the history of cinema. Let me preface this by saying that I absolutely love the original Star Wars Trilogy. But even as a kid, I knew that the man behind the curtain wasn't much of a writer or a filmmaker. Yes, Star Wars was just awesome from the characters and the spectacle on screen. But there is a reason why Empire Strikes Back is not only the greatest sequel of all time, but one of the greatest movies ever made....because George didn't write it or direct it. If he had, I can guarantee you it would have sucked.

As for Phantom Menace, that movie was boring the first time around in the theater and it was boring the first time I watched it on DVD in the hopes that I could make sense of exactly what was going on. I think it finally took watching this review to make sense of it all....that it doesn't make sense and that no amount of revisions on Lucas' part will change that fact.
