R.I.P. Dick Tufeld - Voice of the Robot on the 1960s sci-fi series Lost In Space

Quote
Actor Dick Tufeld, who voiced the Robot on the 1960s sci-fi series Lost In Space, died January 22 at age 85 while watching the NFL playoffs. You may not know his name, but Tufeld created two of TV's most enduring pop culture catch phrases — "Danger, Will Robinson, danger" and "That does not compute." In 2004, TV Guide Magazine caught up with Tufeld, who was still doing voice-over work. He had recently recovered from a paralyzed vocal chord, which kept him from speaking above a whisper until a rare operation returned his familiar voice.

OUT!

GET OUT NOW!

Every red blooded American should watch at least one show. It's classic. I recommend the first seasons. The last seasons just got plain freakin' weird. So that being said... take a toke and watch those bizarre episodes.

But seriously, back then it was the coolest thing ever. I doubt I could watch a whole episode today. Here's some eye rolling experience. Typical Irwin Allen production. If you don’t know who Irwin Allen is, he’s kind like the Roland Emmerich of 70’s. Big vision and trying to push the envelope.

I do recommend the movie. Most of it is fun with a very updated adaptation of the movie. I remember the 'pet' and the movie's conclusion were pretty far out there.

I've seen maybe...MAYBE, 3 episodes of the original Star Trek. Whenever I catch a rerun while flipping channels, I just can't watch them. I'm not even a fan of the movies either, except for Wrath of Kahn and Search for Spock. The reboot by JJ Abrams was awesome. I did check out the Lost In Space movie and it was horrible and because of that, it kind of soured me on even going back and checking out the series itself.

Yea, if you didn't grow up with it, you're probably not going to like it.
