Reservoir Dogs is a f ucking brilliant movie and anyone that says otherwise doesn't know s hit about film making, writing or acting in general. I laugh my ass off when certain snobby film buffs who shall remain nameless, think they know their s hit. They don't. And what's worst is that they get other people "agreeing" with what they think because they don't want to be outcast from their precious little clique. Sheep. If they would just look at it for what it is, they would see how awesome and revolutionary the movie is.
The movie is loaded with incredible acting from EVERYONE involved. There isn't a poor performance anywhere at all. Just amazing. And the biggest and best was Tim Roth's turn as Mr. Orange, who by the way has one of the best monologues in film history: The Commode Story. He OWNED it here. Chris Penn was awesome as well. Aside from the acting and the memorable dialog littered throughout the movie, the way it was written and subsequently edited makes for an incredible satisfying movie-going experience. The entire set up is pretty much all talk, but because of the amazing acting we are getting, the "talky" bits keep you engage so that by the time the "who's the rat" story starts to unfold and reveal itself to us, the 3rd act payoff was well worth the wait.
I highly recommend this to everyone. Some people that 'get' what Dogs is have gone on record saying this is Tarantino's best. It's definitely up there for sure. I own the original DVD release as well as the Ten Years Special Edition version. This is a definite Buy.
