If you haven't heard about Operation Rainfall, they are a group of people who want 3 JRPGs, Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower to be sold outside of Japan. Operation Rainfall started June 23, 2011 and has over 11,000 likes on Facebook. One thing that they were known for bringing Xenoblade to the #1 spot for pre-orders in Overall Video Games on Amazon.com in the matter of hours. This means that if Nintendo localized the game and brought it to America that day, they immediately would of got tens of thousands of dollars in their face.  So far Xenoblade has been sold in Europe with copies out of stock and is confirmed to be arriving in America this April. The Last Story is confirmed to arrive in Europe on the 24th and is the most highly anticipated game out of all 3 however no news on when it will be coming to America. Some reports say Pandora's Tower will also be released in Europe this year but no news for an American release.
Use Google and Youtube for more information about these games, what they look like, and the awesome reviews they get.

I take it this is exclusive to Wii? I've never owned a Wii myself and off the top of my head I can't think of anyone that I know personally that has one either.

Yes these are all exclusive to the wii. Hironobu Sakaguchi is the original creator of Final Fantasy and returns to create The Last Story which is expected to be a must have wii game.

That's one of the things I don't like about each console having exclusives. I use to own PS2 and then went with Xbox 360 when I upgraded. Now there are a tons of games on PS3 that I want like Uncharted. Are Wii exclusives for the lifetime of the game or do they eventually end up doing versions for each console after the exclusive contract runs its course?

The trailer looks to me that this is along the lines of RPG right? Kinda like Skyrim as far as game control and mechanics are concerned. It looks interesting.

These 3 games are published by Nintendo so I highly doubt they'll ever make it to other consoles. You should seriously look at The Last Story's trailer, it's beast. As far as graphics are concerned, they don't look bad at all!

I'm still delusional about Donkey Kong being released on Xbox. It could happen. Not. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/new_tongue.gif)

The Last Story's trailer looks good, but tell me they are going to at least add american voices to the american port of the game or is it going to be all subtitled?

When Xenoblade was released in Europe, it had bad reviews about its English voice acting. It was enough for some people to use Japanese voice acting with  English subtitles. From the voices of The Last Story's trailer, the voice acting seems to be excellent so far actually. It does make sense to use american voices in the american version of the game but the game will also be released a day before in Australia so the american version won't probably have american voice actors. There's no need to use english subtitles when the voices are in english...

Note: Updated topic with news pictures to show the graphics and gameplay. The pictures does not exactly show the real graphics because pictures are resized and converted into different formats therefore reducing picture quality.

Nintendo of America has finally announced that The Last Story is coming to America but hands XSEED the rights to publish the game. It's set to be released in Summer 2012!

Can you wait that long?

Sure, it's still this year at least. Pandora's Tower is yet to be announced by Nintendo of America right now so I don't know if I can wait for that. Right now Nintendo is focusing on 3DS and WiiU, that's why XSEED has to publish it here in America.

XSEED Games Announces The Last Story Exclusively for Wii
Highly Anticipated Wii-exclusive Action RPG to be Released for the North American Market

Torrance, Calif., (February 22, 2012) - XSEED Games, an independent-minded publisher, today announced a partnership with Nintendo that will bring The Last Story™ to North America, exclusively for Wii™. Developed by legendary creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, and his studio, MISTWALKER, in conjunction with Nintendo, The Last Story has players taking charge of a band of mercenaries and journeying with them into a sprawling cinematic adventure. The agreement with Nintendo grants XSEED Games exclusive publishing rights to The Last Story in North America when the game ships this summer.

“I am very happy to be able to confirm that The Last Story will be released in North America,” stated Hironobu Sakaguchi, CEO of MISTWALKER. “XSEED Games has a reputation for bringing high-quality JRPGs to America, and I’m sure they will do a great job with this release too.”

Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games, shared Mr. Sakaguchi’s sentiments. “I am excited to have the opportunity to work on such a unique and ground-breaking RPG. I’m sure that North American gamers will love this title.”

The Last Story follows Zael and his band of fellow adventurers as they go to Lazulis Island, the only region prospering as the mainland of the Empire slowly rots away, in search of work and a better future. After securing employment with the ruler of the island, Count Arganan, Zael dreams of finally achieving a secure life as a knight and putting his unstable mercenary past behind him, but things don’t exactly go to plan when events during their first mission change his life forever…

The Last Story was developed by Nintendo and MISTWALKER, exclusively for Wii. The game will be published by XSEED Games in North America in Summer 2012. XSEED Games will release more product updates in the coming months.
