I enjoyed the Pilot. The series has a lot of potential and it doesn't hurt that Amanda Peet and Jeffery Tambor are part of the ensemble cast. I will definitely stick with Bent and see where it goes from here. Tambor as Department Store piano player is definitely something the writers can use for some good laughs in the future.

I wonder how long they are going to keep the Contractor gag going. I can't see the writer's using that angle for the entire time that the series is in production. Think about it. Let's say the series runs for 3 seasons. Are they still going to have Pete fixing Alex's house for that long? Just a minor observation. I enjoyed this episode, particularly the scenes with Jeffery Tambor as Walt who goes on an audition and loses the gig to Gary (Jesse Plemons). I do believe the one holding the show together and star of the show is Tambor, even though his role isn't the main character.

Another solid and funny episode that's probably not being seen by anyone. I was curious as to why NBC is airing 2 episodes every night it's been on, which only happens when a show gets cancelled and they are trying to burn them off as quickly as possible. That's usually the norm for a show that's already been on and then gets cancelled. But NBC started with the double-episode right out of the gate. I checked online and can't find any confirmation about it being cancelled, but I keep reading about Bent being "pre-cancelled" as in getting the axe before it made it's way to the airwaves. I dunno. Would be a shame if they got rid of the show without giving it a chance. Sigh.

I'm not sure, but I think Bent got cancelled. It's gotten no push at all and the fact they are burning through all these episodes pretty quickly doesn't not bode well. If it is cancelled it would be a shame because Tile Date was by far the best episode. They hit their marks and there were some really funny and cool scenes and they all involved Jesse Plemons who plays Gary, who does a walk-on role for a play which was funny as hell. And he finally put the moves on Screwsie (Margo Harshman). To top it off, him being stapled to the garage door was funny as well. I'd like to see the series continue on but I just don't see it happening for much longer.
