'Revenge' Season 2 moves to Sunday with fewer repeats (http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/revenge-season-2-emily-vancamp-and-madeleine-stowe-move-to-sunday-with-fewer-repeats.html)

This is a step in the right direction. I'm glad to hear that ABC has gotten it's proverbial head out of it's ass to address what up till now has been the biggest blunder in how they handle the show. Too many long breaks throughout the season is not good for any series, no matter how popular it is. Is this move perfect? No. I would gladly wait till January for the premiere if it meant no breaks at all once it started. But anything is better than what we got this season, which was a nightmare at times.

I am guessing they are looking for a replacement for Desperate Housewives, and the Sunday slot is a premiere place to showcase the series.  As long as the ratings stay high, it should have some life.  I just have to wonder how they keep the charade of Emily/Amanda, and how long the revenge plot can go.  A lot has already been covered in Season 1.

Jennifer Jason Leigh Joins Revenge As Emily's Mother (http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/television/emilys-mother-a-single-white-psycho-jennifer-jason-leigh-will-be-bringing-her-brand-of-crazy-to-revenge/story-e6frfmyi-1226433637856)

Interesting. I like the casting of Jennifer.

Yeah, they never really talked about Emily's mother.  I think this could be a good plot twist, and a threat to Emily keeping her secret identity as Amanda.

When I first heard about Leigh being cast, my immediate reaction was "is she old enough to play Emily's mother". And then it dawned on me that she isn't the same girl on Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Welcome back Ganthc! I was just wondering where you had been as of late.

Work has been really busy, so time to chat on forums has been limited.  Plus, with summer, there isn't as much to talk about with TV.

This was a long summer waiting for the return of Revenge. It felt like putting on comfortable shoes again after watching Destiny. I kinda like where they are going (so far) with the story-line for this season with Emily looking to find out who institutionalize her mother. So many possibilities that even trying to guess who right now would be futile. The writers will change it up over the course of the season no doubt. I also like where they are going with the Charlotte arc too, which will make her more of a focal point this season compared to last season. I still don't believe for one second that Jack is the father. So, who's baby is it? Emily and Nolan as roommates....this should be fun.....or funny.

Yeah, this first episode is really good.  I wonder if the Japanese guy's assistant is the potential father of Fauxmanda's baby.  Either he will be that, or a potential love interest for Emily in the future.  Not sure what role Declan is going to play.  He seems to be the adult now?  Very weird.  I do wonder what deal Victoria has struck with the white haired man and his group.  It seems she might have been more involved with him to begin with, but we'll see what happens.  It is a great start for the show.

I kinda thought the same thing for a second and then completely forgot about it till you brought it up. I am inclined to lean to your way of thinking. But then again, it also seems to obvious and why I dismissed it at first. Revenge likes to spin things and keep viewers on their toes. But I wouldn't be shocked if he is in fact the father.

Hahaha. Pretty good domino effect. What goes around comes around. I thought it was clever to set up the 'White-Hair Guy' by making it look like he kidnapped and beat on Victoria, thus freeing her from having to hide out and return home. And then having Conrad spin the story to explain...and "justify" why he drained Charlotte's bank account. This of course leads to Emily and her Clam Shell Camera footage as leverage against 'White-Hair Guy', but with disastrous results. I'm kinda shocked that someone as meticulous as Emily would let her guard down against someone like him and wouldn't foresee him trying to gut her. Lucky for her, she has a protector to shoot people in the back.

I like the cast of Jennifer Jason Leigh as Emily's (Amanda Clarke's) mother. This role, if it expands into something much bigger, which I think it will, could be a huge career boost for her. I hope that is the case.

I would say that the first 3/4 of the episode was just okay for me. It's not till the final 10 minutes does it rock and change the course of the playing field. When Victoria changes her prepared press conference speech and ad lib's to get one up on the reporters, she proves that she is the Queen Bee at manipulating everyone. I thought it was awesome that she announced that Charlotte's real father was David Clarke and she manages to get the entire Grayson Family to stand united together. The cherry on top was how Victoria dragged Amanda on stage to become one with the family. Hahahahaha.

Is it just me, but did I detect a bit of jealousy on the part of Nolan's new CEO? When she overhears Nolan's phone conversation with Emily, the look on her face told me that she is going to be this seasons new 'Tyler'.

This episode was EPIC in what went down. You want a soap opera, this is exactly what you get here. It has all the hallmarks of what makes a great Soap. A very pivitol episode that changes the playing field for Revenge happens in Intuition. Amanda falls from the first floor at the Grayson Manor, causing internal bleeding that has her rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-Section. I was certain that this was how they would kill Amanda off and the baby. That didn't happen. But with this all over the news, this forces Kara Clarke out of hiding to be with her "daughter" at her bedside. Imagine being in Emily's shoes and seeing her there.

Also, I knew from the get go that the kid asking Declan to "hold" the merchandise" would be revealed to be nothing more than a shakedown to get his and Jack's bar. I wasn't at all surprised in how it played out. As for Padma and Nolan swapping spit, what's up with that? I thought they had established that Nolan was gay. Or is he Bi? Or just confused? Or is this the workings of Nolan trying to get to the bottom of something that he doesn't feel is right that he knows that Padma is up to something and getting close is the only way to go about it? Whatever it is, this is one hell of an episode.

FYI, Emily VanCamp looked incredible with her low cut dress. (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i266/Chiprocks1/Smilies/0%20All%20Smilies/HTL_drool.gif)

Welcome back Roger Bart! Some of the best episodes from Season 1 were the ones that had Roger playing Mason Treadwell. Why? Because he is the ultimate sh*t stirrer. He dregs up so much crap and spins it for his own amusement that the viewer can't help but revel in it. He is awesome and I really hope he will have a long extended run this season. Having said that, I wouldn't be shocked at all if someone on the show had him whacked because of his ability to create messy drama. More please!!

As for Jennifer Jason Leigh, I was on edge watching her in this episode. I was expecting her to snap and go completely off the rails, which they have been hinting at from her past. She may have it under "control" now, but she plays the part brilliantly, much like Single White Female. Oh, and about Padma, I'm betting that she is Tyler's half-sister or something and that she is plotting to get back at Nolan for doing Tyler wrong from Season 1. This would be taken directly from Soap Opera 101.

I was certain that Emily's ruse would keep Mason busy for the foreseeable future by planting all the evidence connecting Conrad to the murder of Gordon Murphy ('White-Haired Man'). It didn't even last the entire episode. Well, technically it did with Mason piecing the puzzle together to discover that Emily and Amanda paths crossed at  Juvenile Detention. I wonder what trick Emily has up her sleeve that's gonna get her out of this now. Curious to see where Nolan's relationship with Padma goes now that he has called her out on her snooping and exactly what he expects her to do by going further.

A very wacky, but highly entertaining episode with twist and turns, but it comes at the expense of feeling a little too far-fetched to be believable, even for a show called Revenge. All of the sudden, Emily is making miscalculations the past couple of episodes that she wouldn't have made last season. Why would she trust Mason to not screw her over by baiting her mother? Yes, she recorded the conversation, but this wasn't the objective since she didn't know that the confession would have come up to begin with. She got lucky. But the thing that I don't buy is that Emily and Aiden would just let Kara walk and expect her to disappear and not be any more trouble, this coming on the heels of her holding the Grayson's at gunpoint. The fact that they gave her pills and called her out on her mental instability just doesn't fly. So, what do they do? Here's a stack of cash, a full tank of gas. Please leave. Ok.

So much for Mason sticking around for a long run. Looks like he is willing to confess to a crime he didn't commit. Yeah, like this isn't going to come back and bite Emily in the ass later.

Talk about a f*cked up childhood. Victoria's own Mother (Adrienne Barbeau) makes Mommie Dearest look almost like a saint. Forcing your child to shoot a man just to cover up her involvement with killing him is low. So, we finally get some insight into what made Victoria who she is and the twist in setting up her mother at the diner table was good. In spite of this nice reveal about her, the episode as a whole was pretty much a throw away. Meh. This is the problem I think Season 2 is currently embroiled in, it's purposely trying not to move the story forward and here we spent an hour going backwards. I get that they are setting up the next arc this way, but it doesn't make it any easier to swallow.

Fantastic episode. During Season 1, many people wondered how the plot around Amanda/Emily could sustain itself for a long run given that her list was for the most part...small. Well, after tonight's episode, there is no question where the series can go now. Up till now, this season has been off just a little bit because they were setting up the additional story arcs, not just for Amanda, but for everyone else on the show. You have Amanda's quest still intact. But now we have Nolan as the Trojan horse to bring down Greyson Global from the inside out in an effort to save his own company, we have Jake taking on his two business "partners" who turn out to be the sons of the man murdered with Jake's father's gun and you have the Initiative angle as well. There is plenty to play with now and should make for a good long run.

The big Red X returns and it's about damn time. One of the things that made Season 1 so enjoyable was watching Emily dispatching her enemies one by one and then grabbing a fat Red Marker and X'ing their face out on a picture. That was pretty much abandoned for a long time. So, it was nice to see the Judge get his. Even better was Emily convincing his Wife to do it in a public forum so as to humiliate him. Couple of other things at play happened in Power. First has to do with the Ryan Brother's. I knew they were going to shift the drugs onto Declan. But since Jack took the fall, I can see Amanda coming to his aide and ensnaring them once and for all and getting them off the show. It's starting to run a bit too long. Also, Nolan better watch out. His Ex is working for the enemy and that whole meeting was just to get him trapped and reveal that he isn't loyal to Daniel or the company. Overall, a good episode.

It's no surprise to me that Nolan's girlfriend was revealed to be working with the Initiative. Actually, my original guess was that she was avenging Tyler. Anyway, her being a bad guy was a no-brainer and I'm sure that I wasn't the only one that suspected this from the get go. Having be a mole for the Initiative is kinda weak in a way because that's the most obvious route to take when writing plot for Revenge. I think it would have just been a better reveal for the character if she in fact was trying to avenge Tyler, regardless of whatever relationship it turned out to be. Overall, the episode was decent. I'm finding that the biggest hook for me is seeing what's going to happen with Jack and Declan with regards to the Ryan Brothers.

Interesting to see that the Ryan Brother's are now making a play for Conrad Grayson. I shouldn't be surprised that he would get his hands dirty by getting into bed with them if there is anyway to profit from this new merger. I just wonder how this is going to backfire and who's gonna really benefit from this. My guess and for the stake of the show, it will be the Ryan Brother's that get Conrad under their thumbs. Now that Aiden is going off the rails trying to "avenge" his sister, I hope that it leads to his demise. His character is boring and seeing him gone won't hurt the show. As for Nolan, I can't wait to see what kind of hoops he makes Padma jump through now that he knows she is a mole.

This started off a bit shaky and underwhelming, but boy did they ever end it with a series of whoppers. Having Victoria shoot and kill Helen Crowley was a long time coming. I'm surprised that it took as long as it did. With something clearly threatening your son and one that has kept you under their thumb for 20 years, I would have expected Victoria to take out the garbage long ago. The final shot with Victoria, Daniel and Conrad standing over Helen was THE money shot (pen not intended).

The cliffhanger was elsewhere though when it's revealed that Nate Ryan has stowed away on Jack's boat, seemingly to retrieve that computer with all the evidence that Amanda used to force Conrad to sell his half of the bar back to Jack. I'm expecting something big to go down and I figure that Amanda will be the one that kills Nate by her own hands.

Speaking of Amanda, even though she had Jack's baby, I was still expecting her to have a conscience and not marry Jack. How can she live with herself knowing that all the memories Jack shares about Amanda as a kid has nothing to do with her? Man, that's something I couldn't ever live with. Fictional characters or not, there's some things in life you just can't get over with.

Fantastic episode that had a lot of high tension wire drama. I suspected that Amanda would meet her demise with this one, but with a different ending. We see that the boat is under water at the beginning of the episode, so it doesn't take a genius to figure out something bad happens at the end. Even though I knew that Amanda would be a victim, I figured that the writers would have her lost at sea so that there would be an opening for her character to return later, possibly with amnesia. I guess even they thought that was a bad way to go as it''s a hallmark plot device for Soap's and can and does come off very cheesy. So, with Amanda actually dying in Emily's arms, I kinda miss her, even if she has annoyed me for pretty much her entire run on the show.

Very sad and very goooooood episode. A lot of tension underneath the surface. It this was reality, there is no way that Emily would have been able to keep her emotions in check. She would have slit every Greyson's neck (except Charlotte of course). But, this is a show which means saving the best for last. As for Jack, I knew the day was coming soon that he would find out about Emily's past connection to Amanda, but I wasn't expecting him to find out this fast. Nice wrinkle at the end with Amanda's brother popping up. Curious to see where they take this story now.

I wonder if the Hacker known as 'Falcon' is anyone we have already seen on the show. We shall see. As for the rest, I was kind of restless because the story was all over the place and wasn't particularly engaging. Sure, they introduced Eli, better known as Amanda's half-brother who's got a dark side and will eventually become a big headache for Emily. It's just that this angle has already been played before with Tyler as the resident 'whack-job'. I did however like where they are taking Jack's character. He is going off the deep end trying to piece together all the lies and it's going to come to a head.

Meh. This episode was bloated with that really doesn't need to be in the story. Nolan and Aiden set out to retrieve Padma's father, only to lose her to the Initiative. Jack learns of a secret recording with Conrad admitting to taking a hit out on him. Emily and her foster-brother plot to humiliated their foster mother in public. The kicker is that Emily goes to see Mason in prison and learns that Victoria has another illegitimate son....somewhere. Boy, they are really doing everything possible to not rush through the main plot so that they can drag this out for another 5 years. I found myself very bored with this one.

I found this episode incredibly pretentious and very boring. I can't stand story-lines that revolve around Masquerade parties. I don't get the appeal of these types of parties. I guess you have to be insanely rich and full of one self to 'get it'. I don't. The only thing I found interesting was Nolan's story as well as Jack's story. Everything else was a wash for me. I'm losing interest in the show. It better right itself and fast because if the cliffhanger doesn't give me something juicy, I can't see myself returning for Season 3. I'm just hoping that the last few episodes is nothing more than a hiccup and not a preview of things to come.

First half of the episode was a colossal bore and called into question of whether I should stick with the show. The second half was much better when the Greyson's and Emily get blindsided in their on-camera interview by the reporter. Still, too much dead air is filling up the majority of the episodes all for the sake of dragging story lines longer than they should be. Tighten up the writing and the story like it was during the first season.

The most interesting thing here was when Nolan and Aiden drained the Greyson's bank account, triggering a statewide Blackout, courtesy of the Carrion software. Other than that little bit of scenery, this one was another one that was hard for me to maintain my interest in. I'm really starting to think, as much as I may have disliked Amanda, she kept the show interesting. Now, it seems like the show is just spinning its wheels.

Much better episode, only because of the "ending" or what is implied by the ending. I don't think for one second that Jack Porter is dead. One thing that was left hanging in the air is, if the assassin was at Conrad's press conference, who's shadow was it that Jack saw just before the building exploded? My guess, it's Amanda. Even though she "died" at sea in the arms of Emily, I still don't by it that she perished at all. I think it was all a set up to make the Greyson's think she was gone so that they could get leverage from another source without anymore roadblocks. It is called Revenge after-all.

The other thing going on that I at least found somewhat entertaining, albeit pointless was the 'Regina is obsessed with Charlotte story line. It's not gonna add anything monumental to the overall story line, but it is a nice divergence to at least give Declan and Charlotte to do on the show.

Well, so much for the 'shadow' being Amanda. It was Declan. I still believe Amanda to be alive, regardless of how many people identified her body. Back to Declan, I'm not surprised they killed him off. I was actually expecting that he would have some internal bleeding that the doctors would not discover until it was too late. Poor Jack, the dog that keeps on getting kicked over and over. First Amanda, and now Declan. Who's next? Carl?

As for the rest of the episode, THIS is how to end what has been a lackluster season. I knew that they would have to go all out and give us a Cliffhanger that demands that you tune in for next season. In all honesty, I was just riding out this season to get to the end with the intent of bailing on the show. Well, that has gone out the window. How can I not tune in now to see how Jack handles the news about Emily confessing to him that she is in fact Amanda Clarke. Of course I need to see this play out. Also curious to see what becomes of Victoria's long lost son (Patrick) arriving on her doorstep. Now if the series can right their ship and continue onward with what we got in the Season Finale, then I'd be more than happy to stick with the show for longer.
