I haven't watched Resident Evil since probably when it first came out on DVD. I remember not liking it at all the first time around. What about now? Maybe a little bit better....but not by much. It still suffers from bad acting, cheesy special FX and lame directing. I won't rip into the director since that's become the norm over the last 10 years, so I will just say he is a horrible director and leave it at that.

For a horror movie, it's not even close to being scary at any point in the film. I honestly thought I was watching a PG-Rated movie. There's just not a whole lot of meat to this film other than Milla Jovovich who doesn't really get much to work with. Michell Rodriguez was okay. But that's it.

This is just a Rent if you're looking for something you don't want to have to overthink while watching it.

I've bought this and it's a guilty pleasure every time I see it.

Curious to know where you'd stack this compared to other Zombie flicks. I'd like to get a Top 10 from you on this topic.

I'll have to think about that. Believe me, I don't fall into the strict thinking of what-ifs about zombies. Fast or slow. That kind of thing. I simply like to be entertained. The resident evil movies do that for me. George Romero's first flick did not. 28 days/weeks did (rage/zombie = same thing). Cemetary Man did. Dead Alive did. And so many more did not. Good question. I'll be back.
