UFC 226: Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar Octagon Interviews

There isn't much to really like these days in the UFC. I think the sport itself is on a downward slide because there just isn't anyone worth following. And Dana White knows this and that's why he wants Brock Lesnar back because he automatically brings the hype with him. This is just the "challenge" and already I want to see this fight...and that's saying a lot because Brock in all honesty sucks at MMA. His previous fight, he just laid on top of Mark Hunt for the entire fight. Boring sh*t. So yeah, even though I expect more of the same, at least this challenge was entertaining. I had no idea that Brock and reentered his drug testing pool back in May. Seems they (UFC) kept this hidden from the public. So, looks like a Title Fight in November is happening after all.

Why the US national anthem is terrible and perfect

We all know that the song is challenging, but after watching this video and how they break it all down, I will never be able to not look at this song in the same way when people try their hand at singing it.  Happy 4th of July!

A Single, Disintegrating Back to the Future 2 Shoe Just Sold for $100,000 - IGN News

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! Look, I'm a huge fan of the series, but if I were a millionaire, I wouldn't ever spend $93k for a shoe that is falling apart. Seriously, WTF.

I knew this would be somewhat expensive....but not $300 expensive. Figure $100 would be the asking price. Anyway, this looks f*cking awesome. If I were a rich man, I'd definitely get the Destroyer Album. If they had Love Gun and Creatures of the Night, I'd get those as well.

Eddie Van Halen's Frankenstein guitar replica (part 1, 2 and 3)

Good doc to watch about Frankenstein. But, it's hard to not take notice of Eddie in his, let's say....less than healthier days. Circa 2007.

Kristian Nairn (aka Hodor from Game Of Thrones) Jams 'Holy Wars' W/ MEGADETH

I had no f*cking clue Nairn could shred. I think because I only know him as Hodor and with him being in Game of Thrones as the only thing I know him from....this vid is quite surprising. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to watch GoT the same way again knowing he kills it on gee-tar.

So, the scuttlebutt has it that Sammy has reached out to invite Dave down to his Cabo Birthday bash the other day and yesterday (or today), he reached out to Alex to wish him Happy Bday. I don't expect anything to come of these "interactions", but it's interesting none the less given the animosity THEY have toward Sammy.

Teenager assists blind and deaf man on flight

With the world being ripped apart with hate from all corners, seeing this story was a breath of fresh air and much needed. Everyone can and should take a page out of her book on how to treat people....especially strangers.

Truth be told, any rehearsal with the Original Four sounds better than what we get Live with the current band.

I've had a few threads that I needed to wrap up in the same manner and it was YouTube that finally put the bow on those presents for me. There were a couple of videos I had been searching in vain for years and never found them. I just had to be diligent and keep checking every year until people actually (finally) uploaded certain videos for me to find.

Season 3 Episode 23 Season Finale
Battles Lost and Won

Posting here instead of starting a new thread just to talk about one episode....the Season Finale. Overall, I thought Season 3 was good. Could have been better, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The main storyline running throughout the season was that of Reign, a foe equal to that of Supergirl, hellbent on teraforming Earth and creating a New Krypton. Reign played to perfection by Odette Annable, who I haven't seen in anything long term since the short-lived Breaking In, was a nice surprise. But it's the Finale that I want to talk about. The ending....WTF! Seriously don't know what is happening, but to me it seems that the writers are basically setting up an alternate and perhaps Evil Supergirl/Kara given the events earlier where she needed the help of the Black Rock to defeat Reign. It's a cliffhanger....just one that really wants to keep you guessing one way or another in what they plan to do moving forward. As for the whole of the Finale, it felt very rushed. I literlly thought I miss huge chunks of the story because of the big jumps from one scene to the next. Also, not sure I like that they split up the core group at the end. Mon El and Winn head off to the Future and J'onn retires from the DEO. It looked and felt like it was finite. But that could be the intended goal here. Split everyone up and have a major threat (Evil Supergirl) as the reason to bring them all back together. Yeah, I'm definitely coming back for Season 4.
