Episode 3: Tom Morello and Dug Pinnick



Special Guest Guitarist: Tony MacAlpine

What a great episode and something with a little more balls to it given the political overtones and what they each had to deal with getting to where they eventually ended up at. Both gave good interviews and personally I wouldn't object to Tom being on the show every week. As for Dug, I still can't believe that the majority of people out there don't have a clue who King's X is.

Tony was shredding fo sho! Wheeeee!!!!!! To this day I still have his stuff on vinyl.

The "whatever happened to..." segment was interesting in that it touched on the latest about Vinnie Vincent. Dude needs to come back and play on TMS.

You know what, I may be in the minority here, but I think Death Proof is a good movie. It's mindless fun. Does it run a little bit longer than I'd like? Sure. But who the hell cares. The last 20 minutes of the movie is one hell of a ride!!!! Literally. I really don't get or understand all the negativity surrounding this. It's a Quentin Tarantino film. You should know what your getting into before you even see one frame of film. And if your a fan of his movies, you will get a lot of the inside-jokes as well as specific nods to certain "camera moves" that he is known for. Yeah, yeah, yeah...he stole all those moves from other directors. Blah, blah, blah. Don't care.

Other than the ending of the movie, I thought the table-dolly-shot was pretty damn good in executing and hitting their marks. I wonder how many takes that took for them before they finally nailed it.

This is definitely a Buy for me and much much better than Planet Terror. And I certainly found this to be far more entertaining than Inglourious Basterds. And I like that movie too! So that's saying something right there.

Very interesting choice in who will be hosting the show. If this was vintage SNL Murphy, this would be huge. But now, it's just comes off as a fading star (or should I say, "once mighty star?")looking to jump start his career. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of his, but this just feels so out of left field for the sake of "shocking" people into watching the Oscars.

Job well done. I'll be checking this out just to see what he does and how far he takes it.  ;D

My guess...Alex is still working with Nikita, but for this season, we the viewers will be kept in the dark to elevate the tension and the reveal will obviously come at the end of Season 2.

I went over to my Mom's to loan her the DVD so that she could check it out. I figured this was right up her alley since she is a huge fan of Memento. Alas, she was lost within' the first dream scenario and could never recover and follow the thread to the end. She watched it all...but had no idea what was going on. I may try again.

Ugh. First Cougar Town and now Bones. The series is not set to premiere till  November 3, 2011 as a mid-season replacement. And on top of that, the season has been cut in half down to just 13 episodes so as to accommodate it's spin-off The Finder. I'm looking forward to what The Finder has to offer, but not at the expense of losing episodes of Bones. Bah!

Premieres tonight and I'm very happy about it. What I'm not happy about is that I'm gonna have to wait 30 days before I can see any of it due to FX delaying broadcast on Hulu. But at least it's back baby!

I like the addendum to your review. It's something I did on a few reviews at the other site when I went back and listened to them and something I will continue to do in the future. I like to how my old and new reviews stack up against one another.
