Justice League #1 - Comic Book Review (TotallyRadShow)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LiguYSCB5A

Sheesh! I had no idea that the digital version of all the books were going to be the same price at $4 each. NOT worth it. If I had to pay that, I would prefer the actual book with the off chance that it would appreciate in value. With the digital version, that's never gonna happen. And from the interview above, my point is valid given that Issue #1 has already sold out and is heading to a 2nd printing. I should have gotten multiple copies. D'oh!

How freaking cool is this?! I am sooooooooo going to do this. I have always wanted my own action figure. I know I'm not the only one either.

The Beatles (Anthology 3) 1996

This is NOT a review

I never bothered to pick this up because the 3rd new Beatles song never happened due to poor quality regarding the tapes they were going to use. So they ended up doing an instrumental song instead, which I didn't think at the time was worth it.

Eventually I'll get around to picking up Anthology 3. I did hear that they are doing re-masters for all 3 of the Anthology sets. It remains to be seen if it actually pans out as fact...or fiction.

The Beatles (Anthology 2) 1996

Anthology 2 was also released to coincide with the documentary of the same name. The big selling point for this collection was the 2nd new Beatles song: Real Love. This song seems to get even more hate directed it's way than that of Free As A Bird. Personally I like it and find myself singing it once it gets into my head.

Anthology 2 is exactly the same as Anthology 1 with outtakes and live performances. This set for die hard Beatle fans.

The Beatles (Anthology 1) 1995

Like everyone else, I bought Anthology 1 (as well as Anthology 2) for the first new Beatles songs since Let It Be. That's 25 years between releases! Yikes. For this one, the new song was Free As A Bird. A lot of people seem to have bad things to say about the new songs. Me, I love it and see nothing wrong with it. Free As A Bird is just a really cool song.

As for the rest of Antology 1, it's packed with tons outtakes, and some live stuff as well. It's also sprinkled with snippets of behind the scene conversations and interviews with the band in between the songs. These are for the completest or Die Hard Beatle fans.

DVD's & Blu-rays / Sucker Punch (2011)
« on: September 04, 2011, 03:41:53 pm »

Sucker Punch is an EPIC fail. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this..."movie". Let's be honest, this is nothing more than a 90 minute music video with the occasional plot point to give us some semblance of a story. Personally, I think Zack Snyder (Watcmen) made a Trailer and then decided to flesh it out into a feature. How else can you explain this? Don't get me wrong, it looks and sounds amazing, but that's where it ends. The story is weak and every character is underdeveloped to the point that no one can connect to or care what happens to any of them. When it got to the end to reveal the twist, I could have cared less. The only thing besides the visuals that I really liked was the music. I would definitely Buy the Soundtrack.

Now I am really nervous about Zack helming Man Of Steel. I'd feel a whole lot better if Christopher Nolan were to take over the director's chair on that one. This is definitely a Skip, something I can't do because I've already wasted time on this movie. Bah!

A lot of Die Hard fans (HA) bad mouth it. They say Bruce Willis is sleepwalking and the movie is way over the top.

Plus, what the hell is wrong with DHWAV? I think it's pretty good. Better than Die Harder.

What's wrong with it? Look, I want all my Die Hard movies to carbon copies of the 1st film. I don't need them expanding and trying to get creative and making it different. Die Hard 5 better be set in an Amusement Park or at least in another Airport, damn it!

Yeah, I saw your review after I posted mine. Not a big Finch fan so I'll pass on whatever he's working on. I'll check out Cappullo.

I've seen the first 2 issues of Finch's book and it looks good.

Justice League Of America

My review in link above. We kind of see it the same way, but I was actually expecting a whole lot more from Jim. He's had a lot of time to work on Issue #1 and it just felt a bit lacking. I will stick with the book for the time being. The only other books I will check out are both Batman books (Finch and Capullo) and possibly Batgirl.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Live Free or Die Hard. Bring on part 5!

Are people bad mouthing it? I thought it was a great action movie. It's Die Hard: With A Vengeance I have issues with.

The reason the doc isn't on the disc is because Disney didn't want it on the disc. They feared even more controversy from religious groups.

Michael Eiser is the devil.
