no you know....most comic movies are so bad I generally don't even watch them.  The big budget ones I have more of an interest in only because I know the drop a ton of dough on them

I saw netflix now has Thor and Captain America up...so I might watch Cap here in the next few days while working.

Thor was ok...I am not done with it..I won't say more

yeah for sure that's what I am saying.

I didn't collect his work...so I don't have any...but if you ever find them....give them a good flip.

I guarantee he had books out all the time while he was working.

didn't he used to grab a lot of Jim Lee poses too?

yeah those are all the old pics from this blog back in the 90's

I guarantee there are way more if someone went back today and poured over his work.

yeah exactly....I have a very large drafting table in my home office...and that wouldn't even be big enough to look at it on...which is crazy!

first light looks to be out of the UK....so maybe there's hope.

the images for the book are ridiculous large...almost too big...check out these proofs and the size...it's insane

big books also warp....the size makes them basically collapse in on themselves...so the covers will start to arch and as you said...then the binding can go.

it almost needs it's own support system (seriously)

so yeah I'd agree.....after a few weeks things can go seriously wrong...and I would pretty much guarantee there's no return once it's open.

that book I am sure was expensive to make....but that still doesn't mean it's a high quality book.

I can pretty much guarantee the Page book was made better...because it's a boutique shop that put it together in England.

I'd pretty much bet the KISS book was put together in Asia...

not sure it would get up to 20K....there's a very rare Jimmy Page book and I think it's up to maybe 2K...maybe more....but 20K is a lot even though it's coming out of the gate at $4K+

they might have top ended that book from the starting gate...only time would tell...but I don't know of many books of that nature that sell for more.

also....we don't know the quality of the build itself....if past history or "kisstory" would show....they don't use the best producers for these books.

they just like to charge top dollar and **** their fans.

that has been proven.

I doubt that has changed sadly.....

yeah those red shacks just sit...it would cost so little to do some proper landscaping around them...they have been sitting and rotting the last 17 years...I know because I used to walk past them every day when I worked in La Jolla...it's pretty disgusting how cheap rich people are

:)

was bummed when they closed the Cove.

I was really hoping La Jolla as a community would realize the importance of keeping an old landmark.

but nope.

now it's a furniture store as you said,  that sells...pretty ugly stuff mostly.

I saw a few movies at the Cove....the last which was about 2 months before it closed was Adaptation.
