I feel like I have 2 guitars...and that squire strat (mine) really needs work...it's almost not worth it...but I like the neck a lot...so I need a pro to go in and put in new pick ups...and for it to get a proper paint job.

I am hoping I can keep it under $100 for the improvements....I do have a decent acoustic and a nice bass...so I do have some decent stuff.

:)

here's a pic of the non Epiphone model.

this would be EVEN more kick ass.

I thought there were two models...if you are going to dream, dream big.  I like this.  It doesn't have so many markings on it as to it being some "star endorsed model..." they are just way more classy this way and I think something a player with their own identity would be very proud to play (at gigs and such)

I would have possibly tried to get one....I think over a few months if I worked at it...I could maybe have saved up the cash...throw in a birthday or Christmas...and a comic con or two,

;)

in reference to the new Ace guitar because I know you like to keep stuff here rather than in e mail form.

in all seriousness....$900 for that new Ace Frehley Budokon guitar seems like a REALLY great deal.

they only made 1000 of them and they sold out basically right away...but man for the people who got them....it's a great looking cheap axe (well cheap speaking in a broad sense)

not sure why they only made 1000...I mean even 2500 would have been a very low number and world wide the interest I think if not for players but collectors in general would have seemed to warrant it/

What? No Calling Dr. Love jokes from you?

oh it was tempting.....hahahaha

:)

I swear looking at those guitars has never gotten me more pumped...I am addicted to Les Paul's...although just about any nice guitar seems to be more interesting to me than it EVER has...it's so weird I can't even explain it.

great Ace Frehley guitar site.

and the link to the New Gibson guitar....not instruction per se but if this doesn't inspire you to play...you need to see a doctor.

I am still dreaming very hard of some way some how getting back into music.

hit the swap meet this morning....just to see if I could grab some cheap records...but I was staring at the sports arena thinking of all the great bands I'd seen there....all the bands like Zeppelin and Hendrix that played there before my time.

I really feel like I need to do that once....just some way some how...write a record and hope either a top band gets into it from hearing it online.....or a label finds me and they throw me on tour.

that's the dream.

:)

nice git fiddle

:)

Immigrant is a tough riff because of the speed...I've never really been able to play it as well as I'd like

and it's only 2 damn notes~!

I did learn kasmir a few months back...it's not very hard...you just have to d-tune your guitar quite a bit which is a pain when it's only for one song.

very fun to play that descending riff for the bridge though...that's my favorite bit.

oh man there are so many clips on youtube....I wish you would have started this thread back about 4-6  months ago....I'd already gone through most of the stuff I was interested in.....as I find more I will add them up...but I don't have the bookmarks now or the time to really back track through all the stuff I already downloaded.

there's tons though......so as I get new ones I'll post the best./

yeah never even heard this one...I did like the song cradle of love,,,,,the cover art is really cool.

will have to look through Danna's records and see what Billy Idol she might have....you never know...one of the perks of having a wife that was really into music...although most of the time maybe only 30% of the stuff I like she might (and vice versa)...but that gives you some solid options for things you'd never buy also
