I love Baseball and I love the idea of Harrison Ford playing Branch Rickey. But with my stance against going to theaters now, I'm undecided if I will see this in the theater. It's in the Spring time, so if there aren't too many people out, I just may go. It's about damn time Jackie Robinson got a full-on Hollywood treatment of his life.

Who's Jackie Robinson?

Based on the music in the trailer, I'm guessing he's a Rapper.

That's the one thing I don't get. I want authentic baseball movies which means music from that era. It won't keep me from seeing the movie, but it just seems odd they would go in that direction. I have nothing against Jay-Z, but I sure hope they don't have rapping in the film and it's just a trailer thing.

If Jay-Z and whoever else is on the soundtrack wants to be associated with the film, then just release a "Inspired By The Motion Picture" Soundtrack along with the Music Score Soundtrack. I guarantee you that this is the going to sit well with a lot of people. If the Studio doesn't want any negative fallout, they need to make the film authentic and have music from it's time period.

I really don't want to watch a scene where Jackie is getting his life threatened by racist only to have some contemporary music playing in the background or have Jackie finally making it to the Big Show and having more of the same music. It would KILL the scene and the movie.
