Get the Tumsģ out folks, because if you sit down to watch Sharknado tonight on SyFy, you are going to be fed a lot of cheese. Cheese sandwiched between more cheese. In the sci-fi community, the buzz for this flick has been rather rampant for the last month or two. In my younger days I was proud of admitting to watching and enjoying the cheesiest of movies. Apparently I was alone, because the SyFy channel is totally saturated in the stuff. Iíve read where they are constantly trying to outdo themselves in providing eye rolling entertainment. Thereís a negative side to that, by putting quality Sci-Fi in the backseat.

Back to the cheese. SyFy at least embraces their goal with passion. They typically have theme days and today is no different. Itís all kinds of sharks. Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, Malibu Shark Attack, Sharktopus, Swamp Shark, Super Shark, Sharknado, 2-Headed Shark Attack, Shark Zone (what? No Sand Shark?)

You get the idea.

So strap in and watch the ridiculous nature of imaginative minds on a tight budget. Yes, for some these kinds of movies are a waste of their time. But for those that get the tongue in cheek, enjoy.
