I enjoy the Austin Power movies. Mike Meyers was able to concoct  the right resources that hit our funny bones. Even Meyers says his wealth of material is just waiting to be retold. I forgot which one (1, 2 or 3) is clearly one of the Band films. I know this is not news to you guys, but I was rather surprised when I was watching said Bond film, I just couldn't get over how Meyers used so much of it to tell his Powers story.

I probably won't pay to see it in the theaters, but will watch it once it becomes available.

Unlike The Guru I heard was overwhelmingly bad, I didn't bother to borrow it from the library.

It all depends on how good the trailer is and if my fam wants to see it as well.

Okay, having started 3 and hearing Kate Upton's name at the same time, I kinda want to see her character "Melanie" (thanks, Chip!) do a Britney/Jessica type dance thing.  Maybe that's her cover job (and not so crazy given Beyonce in the third flick)

I think I'm gonna need to pull my Austin Powers Action Figures LOT from eBay today and hold onto them now. Might put them back up when AP4 hits. Might be a nice rush by fans to get their hands on the older stuff if the movie does well enough. Ka-Ching!!

I don't know if you know who Keeley Hazell is but she recreated the car-washing bit there QUITE nicely.  Though you gotta see her Breakfast At Tiffany's photoshoot.

I seriously gotta find a place for Melanie, if Austin's not gonna use her I should.

Oh, rewatching the rhyming slang bit in AP3, I think they gotta get Statham as a villian in AP4.

Being MOD, I'd think that Keeley's be rocking business appropo attire but I keep thinking instead she'd rock that open knit top Drew Barrymore wore in Wayne's World 2 b/c I love slipping in references like that.  And it would keep Austin's jaw open when he's trying to flirt.

Oh, and given how many cartoons he's been in recently, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to get Billy Connelly to do a cemo as Old Bastard.
