I thought Mac would be all over this. Surprised to not see a thread on this yet. Anyway, how can anyone not wanna see this? This looks really good and if time permits, this will be one of the movies that I do make my way to the theater for this Summer. So this is a Maybe for me.

I’ve known about Dark Shadows for quite some time, but honestly, I could not stand the original TV show and leaving just a little bad taste in my mouth. I know now days the movie’s are pretty far removed from the series, but I have just a small interest in seeing this. Tim Burton is a hit and miss for me. When he’s on, he’s on, but there are a few that have left me reeling (ex. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

I know of the original series, but I've never seen one episode. I don't even think I've come across it channel surfing either. So I have no idea if the comedic tone of what's in the Trailer, i.e. the movie is keeping in line with the series. Was the series funny? Based on a couple of scenes in a horror documentary I saw a long time ago, I always thought it was suppose to be this very dark, gothic, macabre show.

No comedy. It was very soap opera... Dark and gothic, playing off the vampire, look into my eyes mystique. Very silly s hit.
