The buzz on the Comic Con floor was the announcement that both Toro and Perlman want to make this a reality. I think once you voice your opinion in a good way to a Con audience, there is no going back. Toro will make this happen just so that he doesn't have to eat his words.

His intention with the first two films was to set up the third to resolve Hellboy's arc. Yeah, it's gonna get made for sure. Wheeeeee!!!!
