Rumor: A New Matrix Trilogy Is in the Works (IGN News)

I honestly don't know if I want to see another Trilogy for the series. Loved the first one, very disappointed with the second one, but the third one wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be in the theater. But the last two installments didn't leave me wanting or begging to see the series continue onward either. And if they do ahead with this, not sure how I feel about having the same cast returning. You can always tell the story from a different perspective, but if they do that, whatever they do, please do not have it where they "find another ONE". You can't have a bunch of people running around being touted as 'The One'. Capisce.

I sincerely doubt that this is going to happen.  Emphasis on "rumor," of course WB would love another Matrix trilogy, who wouldn't?  Would I want to see the Matrix in native 3D?  Absolutely.  Especially after [i[Man of Tai Chi[/i] showed me Keanu doing martial arts again.  But really, what more can this series do?

I watched the original a few weeks ago, and it really made me realize how timed it was to the 90's, where we thought in the back of our heads tech was about to wipe us out, where we weren't sure of the levels of gov't surveillance were... computers and the internet were wide-spread enough that we all knew about it, but it wasn't mainstream enough for everyone to truly grasp its' limits.  And the bad guys... at this point in history, the men in black were everywhere: they were the bad guys in the X-Files, they had a humorous movie inspired by them, and they're the basis of the Agents as well.
