(You've seen the series "Luther," right?  With Elba as a detective?)

Wow, I didn't have trouble seeing what was going on at all... I found the stuff in Transformers much harder to follow and tougher on the eyes.  I will say that this movie is ridiculously LOUDER, like they want you to hear every single little mechanism in the Jaegers working.  I REALLY like how they did the scale of those, especially the Hong Kong fight where Gipsy Danger is dragging that ship behind it, you can scale yourself to the street, then to the massive ship, then to the Jaeger... d*mn.

Yea, I still had problems with it. Most of the fights are in the dark, raining... well, they were difficult for me. I need to watch this a few more hundred times.

Actually I HATE this. I never liked the Japanese Godzilla Genre. Even as a kid I knew the **** looked stupid with a man in a suit. The sounds just remind me way to much of that crap.

Pacific Rim Looks 1000% More Awesome Japanese-Style

What I never liked about the Godzilla movies was the HOUR of science stuff between the sweet sweet Godzilla monster moments.  I have no issue with the rubber suited monsters, my issue was the rest of the movie wasn't enjoyable enough, you know?

Apparently, and maybe this should go in the Godzilla 2014 thread, Japanese cities CRAVE getting destroyed by Godzilla... but there's one place they won't touch:

Also, an interesting article on Film School Rejects about How Pacific Rim got the kaiju wrong.  And not for the reasons you may think.
