I love Midnight Run and this has been something I've wanted for years. I just wished it didn't take this long to get to the point of working on a script. It still remains to be seen how far this goes in the development phase and whether or not Charles Grodin will even commit to it once there is a shooting script. But whatever happens, I will be watching this very closely no doubt. The one thing that I DON'T want happening is Brett Ratner tied to this one. His career is very hit and miss, more on the miss side. I just would like to see somebody that has a better understanding of what it takes to direct a film. Give me someone like Frank Oz or John Landis or Ivan Reitman or Harold Ramis.
