here's some Frank Miller involvement...

rad? did she really say that?

I'd still do her if she said 'groovy' as well.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For delayed until summer 2014

Quote
Fans eagerly awaiting the long-gestating Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will have to wait a little longer, with The Weinstein Company announcing that the film has been put back until 2014.

The sequel had initially been expected to arrive in US cinemas in October 2013, but has now been given a new release date of 22 August 2014.

The announcement doesn’t specify the reason for the delay, only that Robert Rodriguez’s plans of opening two films within weeks of each other has been scuppered.

Machete Kills is still expected to arrive later this year, but the news will come as a blow to those who have been patiently waiting for another Sin City movie since the first one was released in 2005.

Hopefully this will be the last of the delays, and we can look forward to seeing Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Eva Green head up the new-look ensemble in 2014. And at least we'll have that Machete sequel to tide us over in the meantime...

I don't mind waiting.  We're already getting Machete this year anyway, so RR is still busy.  And IDEALLY the special effects will be a little sharper and they can do a couple extra tweaks on it, we can have more of a push with the trailers and the like, more build-up.  I mean, I haven't heard ANYTHING about this all year anyways, it would be lost in the noise if it came out this year.  AND if the company likes it and wants a third flick, that means they can start working on it before the next one hits and that's less time between sequels.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For Official Instagram Teaser (2014)

It's not much, but it's a start. But then again, this "clip" isn't anything that a fan wouldn't have made and posted on YouTube.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For Official Trailer #1

Well, that didn't take long for a Trailer to debut. Everything looks great. Well, everything except for the fact that Alba is STILL wearing clothes as a stripper. Sigh.

Well, they might CG them out like they did in Machete or Machete Kills.  Obviously they're not going to put that in the TRAILER, though.

And Juno Temple's in the movie.  You can almost guarantee she'll be naked.

Nekkid...

....I heard nekkid

So after watching the trailer, are we getting pretty much the same product as the first one? Not a real fan of regurgitating the same thing (pretty much my thoughts on most sequels).

Well, I have the original comics for A Dame To Kill For. I like the story and as I remember, I actually like it more than the original Sin City. So, it will have a lot of similar characteristics as it's set in the same world. So, I expect it to also look the same visually. Not a problem for me one bit.

Agree.... we know story is key. Bring me the same story or something similar and I'll be snoozing.

Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - Trailer #1 - IGN Rewind Theater

I love Rewind Theater! Takes a 2 minute clip and makes it 10 minutes long.  ;D

MPAA Rules Against Risque Sin City 2 Poster Featuring Eva Green

Seriously, f*ck the MPAA. They are a f*cking joke anyway. I find it that the poster is "objectionable", but you can see some of the most grotesque, bloody, murdering, slashing, impaling scenes on Hannibal, which is on free TV. By comparison, this poster is fit for Disneyland.

Meanwhile, I'm SURE there are ads on buses that are worse than that.
