SnowpiercerI'm really going out on a limb here. This is in development and we know that could go in any direction. So I'm going to start the thread and lets see where it goes.
Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
The Host and Mother director Bong Joon Ho has yet to make anything less than a tremendous film and I’m hopeful that his next, which will also be his English language debut, will prove to meet his remarkable standards. Snowpiercer is to be a big scale science fiction film but also promises tense character drama and the chewing over of some social and political ideas.

The film has been adapted by Bong and Kelly Masterson from the Transperceneige comics by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette. If they were just a little bit cheaper I’d buy every one, I’m so intrigued to discover where this film is going.
Finally, here’s an official US poster for the film courtesy of The Weinsteins who have clearly recognised what an incredible cast the film has. The only thing missing from this poster, really, is Bong’s name.
