Star Wars: Han Solo (2018)
Chiprocks1:
Young Han Solo Found With Alden Ehrenreich
I don't know who this is. But whatever, he looks like a young Harrison Ford. Good call. But can he act?
Mac:
I honestly am only slightly aware of the Star Wars resurgence. What's the plan? They going to go crazy and do a bunch of these?
Chiprocks1:
Rumor has it that there will be one Star Wars related movie a year. Some are stand alone origin stories like Han Solo and Boba Fett. These will alternate with the Main Episodic films: VII, VIII, etc....And then there are the flicks like Rogue One. The Episodic flicks will come every 2 years. That's how I've read it to be.
Neumatic:
It's because they can only make three "Episodes" (well, four if they split up the last one as I've suggested they might), and they want SW to keep on rolling. So they want to establish an expanded cinematic universe now. I guess it makes sense to do these "original trilogy" movies now since we know more about it than the new era, but honestly, after Episode VII I expect a majority of SW films will take place in the "present," keeping the story going with the "Episodes" as the "Avengers" type of must-see movie and the others and stand-alone flicks like "Iron Man" or "Thor." After Boba Fett (ill-advised, I think), I hope we get a Finn and Poe movie or a Rey movie or a "those guys from The Raid who were in one scene" movie. Avoid looking backwards, is what I'm saying.
Chiprocks1:
Even though the idea of 3 separate Trilogies (1-9) as stated by Lucas is coming to a close, I highly doubt Star Wars will end on Episode 9. I think for as long as Star Wars remains a profitable franchise, they will continue onward with Episode 10, 11, 12, etc....and weave in these stand along flicks in the off years. I'm still not sure what to make of a Boba Fett flick though. Popular character in toy form, but as a character on screen, he really doesn't have much to say or do, which makes me question if there is really a need for a new flick.
