I'd be down 100% for Affleck as Lex and Christian Bale returning as Batman. If they are "done" with the Batman movies and Bale wants to move on, I think it would make perfect sense to "pass the torch" from Bale to Henry Cavill in jump starting the Superman franchise which really didn't connect with the fans as most thought it should have. You would definitely be bringing back a huge fan base into the Superman movies if Bale was on board for one last time.

I read somewhere that Elijah Wood's name is being thrown around for the part of the Joker, which I actually kinda like. It's more fans than actual studio execs putting his name out there. But yeah, Wood as the Joker, even the character has yet to even being mentioned by name for the movie.

Now that I've had time to digest the news and listening to many different people talking about it today, I have soften in the knee-jerk reaction I had when I heard about it. Still doesn't wipe the slate clean with regards to Dare Devil, but I am willing to give him a chance. He is after all a different actor now and will be bringing into the project a 'director's mentality', which is an added bonus.

Man alive, I've never seen so many news outlets and whatnot dive into a report that ultimately doesn't mean anything until there is a script. HLN, CNN, ABC News, TYT, IGN.....they all have something to say on this topic. I subscribe to them all and they keep sending me their feeds on YouTube and I haven't been able to escape it because this is all I have in my queue. You'd think there were other things happening in the world today. I guess not.

I'm watching Mallrats and totally forgot that the opening credits includes a comic book cover as Ben Affleck AS BATMAN. Well, Buttman, but still.  Prophetic.

And following that line of thought, Kevin Smith's latest of Fatman on Batman has Smith address all this.  Plan on listening to it tomorrow while I run errands.
