Kristen Bell (“Veronica Mars”) and Dax Shepard (“Parenthood”), in addition to being in a relationship together, are great on television. Unfortunately, neither one of them have done particularly well on the big screen. I don’t know if Hit & Run will change that, but at the very least, it looks like the best movie either one of them have ever starred in.
Shepard actually wrote and co-directed the film, about a former getaway driver who busts out his Witness Protection Program identity in order to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles. It also stars Bradley Cooper, who wears dreads and appears to have only one joke in the film, about being butt-f*cked in prison. Hey! You don’t know! They could get a lot of mileage out of that joke.
Anyway, it looks almost kind of funny in the way that movies that feature most of the funny stuff in the trailers do, but you know what? I’m gonna give it the benefit of the doubt because Kristen Bell is adorable.
