We Bought A Zoo

What an amazing surprise. I loved just about everything this movie provided. Laughter, crying, emotions and great story. Yea, some of it was a little manipulative (minus 1 star), but I don't care. Matt Damon is just phenomenal. Scarlett Johansson and Thomas Haden Church are perfect balance. And I can't speak highly enough of the kids. Especially Maggie Elizabeth Jones. Where did she come from. Wow.

I guess I have a very special connection to this movie, in the respect of what Benjamin (Matt Damon) has and is going through with the loss of his wife and continuing on with kids. Those things he has to walk through are real. I've been there and it hurts. Very powerful flick. The animals are just icing on the cake.

Highly recommend. I will be buying this when it comes out. While it does hurt, it also has reconciliation that helps in the healing.

Although Matt Damon and Jon Stewart were joking about the "simplistic" story line on The Daily Show, I still want to see this because of Cameron Crowe.
