When you say 'Art', you mean that's not a photo? I assume the face is real, but the rest is photo-realism art?

Yep.  No real costume, it's all done on computers.  Concept art these days is so good that it can look just like the movie.

So, for today's entry in "...really?"  guess who just announced on Twitter that he's playing the giant floating head of Zordon in the Power Rangers reboot.

Bryan freakin' Cranston.  Uh may zing.  Honestly thought it was a hoax.   Comic Book.com and The Tracking Board confirm it.

All I can think of now is Aaron Paul as Alpha Five.  Admit it: you want to see that.

Stranger Things - "Eleven" - Featurette

Quote
Netflix has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for the highly-anticipated series Stranger Things, which will debut on July 15th in all territories where Netflix is available. Check it out in the player below to learn more about the show’s mysterious character, Eleven.

Set in Hawkins Indiana in the 1980s, Stranger Things chronicles the search for a young boy who vanishes into thin air under highly suspicious circumstances. His mother (Winona Ryder) opens an investigation into the boy’s disappearance with local authorities that unravels a series of mysteries involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. A love letter to the ubiquitous cult classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is a coming of age story for three boys that draws this quaint community into a world where mysteries lurk beneath the surface.

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner), David Harbour (Chief Hopper), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Millie Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), and Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler).

The show was created by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (“Wayward Pines,” Hidden), who also directed several episodes. It is executive produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via their 21 Laps entertainment banner (The Spectacular Now, Night At The Museum, Real Steel, Date Night), alongside the Duffer brothers. Levy also directed two episodes.

So we know Hollywood does what they damn well please, because Stratham's character The Mechanic dies, or is assumed to die in the original. Now we have a sequel.

I grew up with the original and the remake is OK. So, I guess it depends on what they do with this, I wouldn't mind it being a series.

BUT!!!! from the looks of the trailer, the whole phantom, ninja like Mechanic persona is gone. This character seems to be all out in the open fighting baddies.

That was, like, the most prototypical Jason Statham movie trailer that's ever existed.  It's just "a Jason Statham" movie, pure and simple.

It looks like they mixed The Mechanic with Into The Blue.  I saw that trailer and thought "why isn't Jessica Alba in the overhanging pool?"  Make that a rescue mission.  It would certainly be harder to pull off than just emptying the dang thing.

Emptying what? I have no idea what's in that trailer. I saw her butt and pretty much locked

Okay, so in the start of the new Mechanic Resurrection trailer, there's this dude taking a swim in a glass-bottom pool hanging off the edge of a skyscraper.  Yikes.  And of course, Jason Statham is doing this Spider-man thing, hanging onto the bottom of the pool and cutting a hole in it to drain the water.  I'm guessing that this is going to end with that dude as a splat on the sidewalk below.  But you look at a pool like that and all you can think of is what if it falls over?  It just suggests disaster.  You expect death.  Plus there are so many ways that could go wrong, so many ways you could kill someone in a glass-bottomed pool hanging over the edge of a skyscraper.

So that would make saving someone from one much trickier.  So what I'm suggesting is have Jessica Alba in the pool, she's like a captive in that penthouse or something, and have Statham try to rescue her.  Much trickier to do, it puts two characters in danger instead of one, and it's a scene I'm relatively sure no one's done before.
