This looks great and is right up my alley. I love that classic video game characters take center stage. I can only imagine how much money Nintendo was asking to use the likeness of Donkey Kong and I'm not surprised one bit that Disney wouldn't pay up. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this, but will wait till it drops on DVD though.

No. Disney would not pay the money that Nitendo was asking for to use Donkey Kong. Wreck It-Ralph is based on the game. The similarities between the two are fairly obvious. Having said that, Disney is turning Ralph into a real game. But it was never a game from the 80's arcade boom.

Wreck-It Ralph Retro Game

You can now play the game in your brower using the keyboards. I'm sure that Disney will also put out a Video Game tie in for the movie on the XBox and PS3 consoles.
